Lately I have been drawn to these names, but I cannot tell whether I like them or not…So I wondering what are your thoughts on them and why you like/don’t like these names. Thanks!

I like [name]Lavinia[/name] but I wouldn’t actually use it on any future daughter of mine. Unfortunately, it reminds me of the word “lavatories”.
[name]Clara[/name]. It’s no nonsense and CLEARLY classy. I like it better than [name]Clare[/name]. Oh and it reminds me of a character on “The Guild” (I’m going to take a stab at guessing that you’re a fan - cough - “Vork”).
[name]Rupert[/name]. I like it because of the nickname, “Ru” or “Roo”.
[name]Walter[/name] is attractive for the nickname “[name]Walt[/name]” to me. But I would not hear the end of the wise-cracking from people if I named a future son, [name]Walt[/name].
[name]Remus[/name]… Not a fan for a real person name.

Haha, yes. But I was also reading a book lately with a character called [name]Clara[/name] and it came back to me, I think I really like it now. Still not sure about [name]Lavinia[/name], there is a girl in one of my tutorials named this and she is pretty cool but then there is the reference to the mean girl from 'The [name]Little[/name] [name]Princess[/name]" (and although turns alright in the end) I do doubt it. But thanks for point out the “lavatories” reference, I didn’t think of that…
As for [name]Rupert[/name] I’m really warming up to it, I never really liked it in the beginning (first heard of it on [name]Rupert[/name] Grint) I’ve seen it on these boards and have wondered about it. I like the nickname “Ru”, thanks!
[name]Walter[/name], I keep on getting criticised for liking it from friends and family which has sort of soured the name. But I keep coming back to it, especially the nickname [name]Walt[/name].
[name]Remus[/name]. I really like [name]Remy[/name], not sure of it as a first name though thats why I was thinking of [name]Remus[/name].
This is all hypothetical though, I’m not expecting or anything and probably won’t till a couple more years down the track. But thanks for your input.

[name]Clara[/name] – I love this, but I feel like it’s making a strong comeback and I prefer names that are less popular. I don’t know any little Claras personally, but I’ve heard the name thrown around a lot. It’s my sister’s favorite name, actually.
[name]Rupert[/name] – I love [name]Rue[/name], and this is a very cute option.
[name]Walter[/name] – Hadn’t pictured this on a little guy, but I would like to see it used.
[name]Remus[/name] – Not my style at all.
[name]Lavinia[/name] – Pretty, I feel the same way though. I’m not sure if I like it or not. I feel like it might get mispronounced often.
[name]Clara[/name] – [name]Love[/name] it, one of my favorites lately.
[name]Rupert[/name] – I see the appeal but it’s just nms.
[name]Walter[/name] – Really cute on a little boy but I don’t really like it on a adult, could work on the right person though.
