Thoughts on These Names?

I’m thinking of adding these to my list;

[name_f]Claudia[/name_f]
[name_f]Vera[/name_f]
[name_u]Connie[/name_u]
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f]
[name_f]Ada[/name_f]
[name_f]Jennie[/name_f]
[name_f]Dorothea[/name_f]
[name_f]Henrietta[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosetta[/name_f]
[name_f]Eveline[/name_f]
[name_f]Delia[/name_f]
[name_f]Carrie[/name_f]
[name_u]Billie[/name_u]
[name_f]Bridie[/name_f]
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f]
[name_f]Polly[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]

What are your honest opinions of these names? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think any of them fit in with my list nicely? Also, if you have any suggestions, feel free to share them

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorites:

[name_f]Vera[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]
[name_f]Delia[/name_f]
[name_f]Ada[/name_f]

I think any of those could work in your sig. When it comes to signature names, whatever you like most or love can work, whether they go together stylistically is a matter of preference. In your case, all of those names work with the sig names. Vintage/Classic ultra feminine with moderate frill and sophistication.

They all seem to work well with your signature names. The only one that stands out as different to me is [name_f]Carrie[/name_f]. While it shares the “ie” ending with a lot of your other choices, it seems more dated to the last couple of decades, while your other names are more timeless. Perhaps [name_f]Jennie[/name_f] would fall under the [name_f]Carrie[/name_f] category, too.

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_f]Bridie[/name_f], and [name_f]Hermione[/name_f].

[name_f]My[/name_f] personal favorites are; [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_f]Delia[/name_f], and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]. I can see [name_f]Vera[/name_f] and [name_f]Ada[/name_f] growing on me. I think they all go well with your current girl loves. [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f], [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f], and [name_f]Rosetta[/name_f] could over-power a few of your current loves but with a mix of styles it would work.

[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] is over used now. Not many baby [name_f]Jennie[/name_f] around anymore!

[name_u]Love[/name_u]

[name_f]Claudia[/name_f]
[name_f]Vera[/name_f]
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]

the most but I don’t dislike any of them. [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] choices!

[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] - it’s alright, but not a huge fan. Plus it means ‘lame’.
[name_f]Vera[/name_f] - my parents have an inside joke about the name [name_f]Vera[/name_f] and won’t tell me what it is, haha. For that reason I’ve felt like it’s somehow manipulative, secretive; it’s a weird bias, I know!
[name_u]Connie[/name_u] - lovely, I do adore this but prefer it as a nn for [name_f]Constance[/name_f].
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] - eh, not my thing. It feels ‘faux vintage’ to me, a bit wishy washy and non-committal.
[name_f]Ada[/name_f] - sweet, simple, ancient; it reminds me of [name_f]Ada[/name_f] Lovelace which is nice. I can see it fitting well on your list.
[name_f]Jennie[/name_f] - cute, it reminds me of this song by The National (can’t remember which one).
[name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] - pretty but I prefer the simple [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f]. Or just [name_f]Thea[/name_f].
[name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] - absolutely fab, if a bit… archaic(?) which maybe makes it a bit pretentious for everyday life.
[name_f]Rosetta[/name_f] - [name_m]Stone[/name_m]
[name_f]Eveline[/name_f] - gorgeous, lovely alternative to [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]. I like [name_f]Aveline[/name_f] loads too.
[name_f]Delia[/name_f] - I love this, I think of [name_f]Delia[/name_f] [name_m]Smith[/name_m]
[name_f]Carrie[/name_f] - the film (it’s been remade recently too) is my only association, and it’s probably not the best.
[name_u]Billie[/name_u] - you know how I feel about this, I still absolutely adore [name_u]Billie[/name_u]. Regardless of my first born daughter’s official name I know I’ll probably end up calling her this as a nn anyway.
[name_f]Bridie[/name_f] - I just hear ‘bride’ which I don’t really like (combining marriage and identity). I think [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] is beautiful though.
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] - I love it, but I would certainly tire of ‘like [name_m]Granger[/name_m]?’.
[name_f]Polly[/name_f] - I quite like this, because I know a [name_f]Polly[/name_f] a couple of years older than me who I always really admired.
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] - one of my long-term loves, but feels tired to me now. I think I like the Welsh Eirys better.
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] - [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] makes me think of Plath which I love, along with it’s other literary references. But honestly I far prefer the gorgeous [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]. She’s so sweet and energetic, love to meet a little [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f].

I like [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], [name_f]Jennie[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Eveline[/name_f], [name_f]Carrie[/name_f] & [name_u]Billie[/name_u]

[name_u]Love[/name_u]: [name_f]Vera[/name_f], [name_f]Eveline[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f]

Like: [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_f]Delia[/name_f]

Meh: [name_f]Ada[/name_f], [name_f]Jennie[/name_f], [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f], [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f], [name_f]Rosetta[/name_f], [name_u]Billie[/name_u], [name_f]Hermione[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]

Dislike: [name_f]Claudia[/name_f], [name_u]Connie[/name_u], [name_f]Carrie[/name_f], [name_f]Bridie[/name_f], [name_f]Polly[/name_f]

Thanks everyone!

I’ve gone with [name_f]Hermione[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], [name_f]Jennie[/name_f], [name_f]Vera[/name_f], [name_f]Carrie[/name_f], [name_f]Polly[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f] I think I might add [name_f]Aveline[/name_f] instead of [name_f]Eveline[/name_f], I’m a bit concerned that, over here, it’ll be commonly mixed up with [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]. I’m still on the fence with [name_f]Claudia[/name_f], [name_u]Billie[/name_u], [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_f]Delia[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosetta[/name_f] though. They’re lovely, but the more I consider them, the less ‘me’ they feel.

[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] - dated. I only know 30+ year old women with this name and find it very unfitting when I see it on anyone younger
[name_f]Vera[/name_f] - not a huge fan but it does fit your style
[name_u]Connie[/name_u] - I feel like this fits in well with [name_f]Tilly[/name_f] but not with names like [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] or [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] - I don’t see the appeal but it fits nicely with all your names
[name_f]Ada[/name_f] - lovely. Fits in well with [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. Not sure about [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] or [name_f]Lottie[/name_f].
[name_f]Jennie[/name_f] - this one feels extremely dated
[name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] - not a big fan. To me it feels much older than your other favourites
[name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] - sweet and goes nicely with your favourites
[name_f]Rosetta[/name_f] - a bit younger than [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] but still does’t fit that well with the other names
[name_f]Eveline[/name_f] - great with the longer names in your signature. Not loving it with the nickname-names.
[name_f]Delia[/name_f] - goes well with some of your favourites but doesn’t fit your style perfectly
[name_f]Carrie[/name_f] - reminds me of Sex and the City.
[name_u]Billie[/name_u] - would go well with [name_u]Connie[/name_u] but doesn’t have the same vibe as the cute nickname-names
[name_f]Bridie[/name_f] - is this supposed to be [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] because otherwise it looks like a misspelling. I think [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] would fit your style extremely well, [name_f]Bridie[/name_f] not so much.
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] - same as [name_f]Ada[/name_f] and [name_f]Eveline[/name_f]
[name_f]Polly[/name_f] - love it (as it’s the nickname I chose for myself), does fit your nickname-y names greatly
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] - see [name_f]Ada[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] - I like both names for you.
