Thoughts on these names?

Hey everyone. I’m new here and hoping to get your opinions on these names and maybe some suggestions. I’m constantly battling with my partner. We just can’t agree on any names! Which would be best for our first daughter?

[name_f]Avalon[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (nn: [name_f]Ava[/name_f])
I love the name, but he doesn’t like it. He says it sounds like avalanche. Silly, right?

[name_f]Alyna[/name_f] ([name_f]Aleena[/name_f]) [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] (nn: [name_f]Ally[/name_f], [name_u]Lynn[/name_u])
The first name is actually the feminine version of my partner’s, so that’s cute. Not sure on the second name though, I like [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] for it too, but [name_f]Alyna[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] feels like there’s too many A’s.

[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Spring[/name_f] (nn: [name_u]Rory[/name_u], [name_f]Ro[/name_f])
I fell in love with this name, because of it’s nicknames. [name_u]Rory[/name_u] is too cute and right up my alley, and [name_f]Spring[/name_f] is his mother’s middle name. He’s not to fond of the name, but it wasn’t immediately dismissed so that’s a good sign!

Aulora [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] (nn: [name_f]Lori[/name_f], [name_f]Laura[/name_f])
This one was just a random one we threw out there. I really really really like the name [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] as a middle name, but I don’t feel like it meshes with any of the first names above. Thoughts?

I’d love to hear your opinions!
Thank you.

[name_f]Avalon[/name_f] is beautiful! Your partner isn’t interest in [name_f]Avalon[/name_f], but here’s a few alternatives:

Avonlea
[name_f]Ivanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Avalynn[/name_f]
Avaline

I otherwise adore [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] as well!

Good luck!

[name_f]Avalon[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (nn: [name_f]Ava[/name_f]): This is my favourite from your list. You can’t really help what your partner thinks of it when they hear it, but all in all I think this set is the nicest mix of unique without being over the top.

[name_f]Alyna[/name_f] ([name_f]Aleena[/name_f]) [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] (nn: [name_f]Ally[/name_f], [name_u]Lynn[/name_u]): If you have to clarify the pronunciation, then that might be a red flag already. It just depends, if you’re okay with correcting the spelling and pronunciation (as well as giving your baby a name with such a responsibility attached to it), then it shouldn’t be a deal breaker. I think [name_f]Alena[/name_f] or [name_f]Alana[/name_f] might be more intuitive alternatives. If you’re flexible about middles, I think [name_f]Alyna[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] sounds nice.

[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Spring[/name_f] (nn: [name_u]Rory[/name_u], [name_f]Ro[/name_f]): Sounds a bit wordy upon first impression, but after hearing [name_f]Spring[/name_f] has significance to you, it seems alright. I also like this one, and the nn [name_u]Rory[/name_u] is super cute.

Aulora [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] (nn: [name_f]Lori[/name_f], [name_f]Laura[/name_f]): This name is certainly out there, but not in a bad way. I’d personally prefer just [name_f]Lora[/name_f] or [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]; the latter sounds just like Aulora, so I think [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] still goes well with it.

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] @_kronos,

My top suggestion based on your feedback is [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], nn: [name_u]Rory[/name_u].

I love [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Spring[/name_f] the most! [name_u]Rory[/name_u] is such an adorable nickname. I like [name_f]Avalon[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] second, I see where he’s coming with the avalanche thing but, in my opinion, it doesn’t make the name unusable  Third is [name_f]Alyna[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f]. It has a really nice cadence but I could see spelling and pronunciation errors in her future! Could you use [name_f]Aleena[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f]? I agree with your thoughts on [name_f]Alyna[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], too many “ah” sounds. Lastly, I like Aulora [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]. I think it’s the spelling that I don’t like, because saying it out loud it’s a very nice name. [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] would be nice too! What about [name_f]Elora[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]? Good luck

[name_f]Avalon[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (nn: [name_f]Ava[/name_f])
Shame your husband doesn’t like it. I like the strong feel [name_f]Avalon[/name_f] has. The above suggested Avelyn seems like a good alternative.

[name_f]Alyna[/name_f] ([name_f]Aleena[/name_f]) [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] (nn: [name_f]Ally[/name_f], [name_u]Lynn[/name_u])
I would pronounce this A-ly-na. So I’m not a fan. I like [name_f]Alina[/name_f] though.

[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Spring[/name_f] (nn: [name_u]Rory[/name_u], [name_f]Ro[/name_f])
I love [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_u]Rory[/name_u]. I think it’s great you want to honor your husband’s mother, but I don’t really like [name_f]Spring[/name_f]. The only alternate spring names that come to mind are also ‘a’ names, not great for the initials, [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] or [name_f]Avril[/name_f].

Aulora [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] (nn: [name_f]Lori[/name_f], [name_f]Laura[/name_f])
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is great. Aulora seems to put together to me. Maybe [name_f]Aurelie[/name_f], [name_f]Elora[/name_f] or [name_f]Eleora[/name_f].
