I’m expecting a girl in late 2017. I started a thread a while ago about possible space-themed names I could use. I have a pretty general idea on what I would like to name my daughter when she is born, but my husband and I have come up with a few more possibilities.

I really only like [name_f]Selene[/name_f], [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] and [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f]. The others aren’t bad but for some I think will be a life time of your child having to explain how to pronounce and spell them. I have a name like that and it’s annoying on the best of days.

[name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] - I like [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] but she has a very aquired taste! She isn’t for everyone.
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] - I wouldn’t use it myself, but I think it’s adorable and [name_f]Junie[/name_f] is a sweet nickname!

[name_f]Serendipity[/name_f] - too out there. [name_u]Seren[/name_u] is a lovely name and very popular here in [name_m]Wales[/name_m]. I’d maybe even push it to [name_f]Serenity[/name_f]. But [name_f]Serendipity[/name_f] is too much of a stretch for me.

Since you mentioned [name_f]Selene[/name_f] as a middle, [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Selene[/name_f] would be my pick from your list. Original enough but still recognizable. [name_f]Serendipity[/name_f] as a name kind of feels heavy, like a thick winter coat and bibs in the heat of summer - it’s just too much to carry. I agree with the previous poster’s suggestion or [name_f]Serenity[/name_f], even though it’s not my taste.
