Thoughts on these names?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there! I have recently fallen in love with these names, but I want to know what everyone else thinks of them.
[name_f]Melanie[/name_f]
[name_f]Candace[/name_f]
[name_f]Betsy[/name_f]
[name_f]Sharon[/name_f]
[name_f]Natalia[/name_f]
[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u]
[name_u]Sutton[/name_u]

Be as blunt as you’d like :)! Thanks in advance!

I quite like the quirky [name_f]Betsy[/name_f] though I think I’d like it best as a nn for [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f], [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] or [name_f]Bridget[/name_f]. [name_f]Melanie[/name_f] and [name_f]Natalia[/name_f] are okay. I’m not a fan of the rest and have a quite negative reaction to [name_f]Sharon[/name_f] I think because it is one of a group of names that sound similar to me of women (now in their 40s and 50s) that seemed to fill most of the classes at school: [name_f]Sharon[/name_f], [name_f]Sheryn[/name_f], [name_f]Karen[/name_f], [name_f]Keryn[/name_f], Kerilyn, [name_f]Cheryl[/name_f], [name_f]Cherylyn[/name_f].

I personally find them all pretty dated, with the exception of [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u], [name_u]Sutton[/name_u], [name_f]Natalia[/name_f], & [name_f]Betsy[/name_f]. [name_f]Betsy[/name_f], though, I think is just coming out of it’s dated fase. My favourite from the list is [name_f]Betsy[/name_f]. [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] & [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] I find quite trendy.

I love [name_f]Natalia[/name_f] and [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u]! I don’t like [name_f]Candace[/name_f] and [name_f]Betsy[/name_f] sorry :(. [name_f]Melanie[/name_f] is nice however I do feel it’s a little dated and [name_f]Sharon[/name_f] I picture on a middle aged businesswoman. [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] I picture more on a boy than I do on a little girl.

What an eclectic list!

I like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Betsy[/name_f]) and [name_f]Natalia[/name_f] (or [name_f]Natalie[/name_f]) best. [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] and [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] are probable too hip for me though I like them both. [name_f]Melanie[/name_f] and [name_f]Candace[/name_f] seem like sweet cheerleader types in my mind, which is absolutely great if that’s the goal. [name_f]Sharon[/name_f] is too Boomer for me, and I don’t love the sound of the name when I hear it.

The only one I like is [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u], and only a little, but for some reason I like it on a boy better.

I really like [name_f]Melanie[/name_f] and [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u].
[name_f]Natalia[/name_f] is nice, but I prefer just [name_f]Talia[/name_f].

[name_f]Candace[/name_f] is ok, but I hate nn [name_f]Candy[/name_f].
I’m warming slowly to [name_f]Betsy[/name_f], but I still find it a little harsh sounding.

I dislike [name_f]Sharon[/name_f] and [name_u]Sutton[/name_u].

[name_f]Melanie[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Melanie[/name_f] - it’s so soft and gentle sounding
[name_f]Candace[/name_f] - I’m not a fan, sorry.
[name_f]Betsy[/name_f] - sweet!
[name_f]Sharon[/name_f] -not a fan, sounds harsh to me
[name_f]Natalia[/name_f] - beautiful! [name_u]Love[/name_u] the nickname [name_u]Tally[/name_u] too
[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] - love the sounds of this
[name_u]Sutton[/name_u] -it’s grown on mr. I love near a place of the same name so i wasn’t sure on it at first but now I quite like it

My favorite is [name_f]Melanie[/name_f]. I like the soft gentle sound and in my area, it was never common enough to seem dated. I’ve only met two Melanies and they were of different generations, so I don’t associate it with a particular era. I like [name_f]Betsy[/name_f] as a nn for [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f], or [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f].

Thank you for all the replies so far!

My favorite from your list is [name_f]Betsy[/name_f].

[name_f]Melanie[/name_f] - I like it, it reminds me of a character in a children’s book that I loved when I was young. Prefer it to [name_f]Melania[/name_f] for obvious reasons…
[name_f]Candace[/name_f] - too close to the word [name_f]Candy[/name_f] for me
[name_f]Betsy[/name_f] - I find it a bit ugly tbh
[name_f]Sharon[/name_f] - I used to like it but it started to sound very masculine to me
[name_f]Natalia[/name_f] - I like it but prefer the Russian spelling [name_f]Natalya[/name_f]
[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] - that name is soo confusing to me, I think it looks weird and I never know how to pronounce it.
[name_u]Sutton[/name_u] - that’s a word not a name in my opinion and it sounds more like a male name
