Thoughts on these names....

What are your honest thoughts on theses boy names…

[name_u]Cairo[/name_u]
[name_m]Saint[/name_m] - too associated with [name_u]Kim[/name_u] + [name_m]Kanye[/name_m]?
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m]
[name_m]Prosper[/name_m]
[name_m]Kingston[/name_m]
[name_u]Cruz[/name_u]
[name_m]Romeo[/name_m]
[name_m]Wolf[/name_m] - I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] this name, but I’ve been having a hard time seeing a person wear this name.
[name_m]Hart[/name_m]
[name_u]Sterling[/name_u]

I like super unique names as I’m sure you can tell, but please tell me your thoughts on theses names I would really appreciate that.

Thanks!

[name_u]Cairo[/name_u] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] it. [name_u]Unique[/name_u], but wearable. My favorite on your list.
[name_m]Saint[/name_m] - Hate it. I see it strictly as a title, not a name. Kind of like [name_m]Prince[/name_m] and [name_m]Kaiser[/name_m] that I also hate.
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m] - Not my favorite, but OK.
[name_m]Prosper[/name_m] - Hate it.
[name_m]Kingston[/name_m] - OK.
[name_u]Cruz[/name_u] - I don’t like it.
[name_m]Romeo[/name_m] - I like it.
[name_m]Wolf[/name_m] - I like [name_m]Wolfe[/name_m].
[name_m]Hart[/name_m] - OK.
[name_u]Sterling[/name_u] - Kind of tacky.

[name_u]Cairo[/name_u] was my dog’s name! I love it. [name_u]Unique[/name_u], but easy to spell pronounce and wear as adult. Also my favorite on your list
[name_m]Saint[/name_m]- pretentious
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m]- strong, worldly
[name_m]Prosper[/name_m]- Clunky. I think this is a character from a book that I read when I was younger
[name_m]Kingston[/name_m]- OK
[name_u]Cruz[/name_u]- bad, Ted [name_u]Cruz[/name_u] (sorry)
[name_m]Romeo[/name_m]- romantic
[name_m]Wolf[/name_m]- strong
[name_m]Hart[/name_m]- ok, simple, unique
[name_u]Sterling[/name_u]- tacky

[name_u]Cairo[/name_u] - Sleek and modern, creative. Wearable.
[name_m]Saint[/name_m] - I do think of [name_u]Kim[/name_u] and [name_m]Kanye[/name_m], but I’m more concerned about it as a name in general. Seems like too lofty of an aspiration to name your kid [name_m]Saint[/name_m]. Like too much to live up to, kind of lofty, I mean.
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m] - Good name, decent meanings as a word name or a mythology name
[name_m]Prosper[/name_m] - Only works as a middle name, I think. I can’t imagine calling someone [name_m]Prosper[/name_m] on a daily basis.
[name_m]Kingston[/name_m] - Not my style but I think it’s wearable enough.
[name_u]Cruz[/name_u] - Wearable but I don’t personally like it.
[name_m]Romeo[/name_m] - Wearable, I like it but wouldn’t use it.
[name_m]Wolf[/name_m] - It’s strong and neat. I like it better as a middle but it could work in the first spot too.
[name_m]Hart[/name_m] - Not my thing
[name_u]Sterling[/name_u] - I know a little [name_u]Sterling[/name_u]. It works for him. It’s not my style but I find it a nice name.

[name_u]Cairo[/name_u] - NMS
[name_m]Saint[/name_m] - hate it sorry - it’s a title not a name
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m] - I like this
[name_m]Prosper[/name_m] - hate it - reminds me of a fantasy book character for some reason like [name_m]King[/name_m] [name_m]Prosper[/name_m]
[name_m]Kingston[/name_m] - don’t like it
[name_u]Cruz[/name_u] - NMS
[name_m]Romeo[/name_m] - I like this name
[name_m]Wolf[/name_m] - I like it - it’s in my family
[name_m]Hart[/name_m] - not my style
[name_u]Sterling[/name_u] - it’s okay - I knew a couple of people with this name but I wouldn’t use it

[name_u]Cairo[/name_u] - don’t like it. I’m not a fan of place names
[name_m]Saint[/name_m] - sounds pretentious to me, sorry
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m] - I like this one
[name_m]Prosper[/name_m] - nope. Again, sounds pretentious, sorry
[name_m]Kingston[/name_m] - place name, don’t like it
[name_u]Cruz[/name_u] - this is okay, but I immediately think of [name_m]Tom[/name_m] [name_f]Cruise[/name_f]
[name_m]Romeo[/name_m] - romantic, nice
[name_m]Wolf[/name_m] - my favourite in your list
[name_m]Hart[/name_m] - I don’t know what I don’t like about this one
[name_u]Sterling[/name_u] - pretentious and trying-hard, sorry

I like [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] and [name_m]Hart[/name_m]. They’re both offbeat and stylish. I’m not a fan of the rest.

[name_u]Love[/name_u]:

[name_m]Saint[/name_m] (But not sure I could use it, due to [name_u]Kim[/name_u] & [name_m]Kanye[/name_m]/religious associations)
[name_m]Wolf[/name_m] (I actually like [name_m]Wolfgang[/name_m] “[name_m]Wolf[/name_m]”, but I feel like it’s strictly a guilty pleasure name for me. Maybe [name_m]Wolfgang[/name_m] or [name_m]Wolf[/name_m] as a middle?)

Like:

[name_m]Atlas[/name_m]
[name_m]Hart[/name_m] (I can only see it being used as a middle name)
[name_u]Cairo[/name_u]

Dislike:

[name_m]Prosper[/name_m]
[name_m]Kingston[/name_m]
[name_u]Cruz[/name_u]
[name_m]Romeo[/name_m]
[name_u]Sterling[/name_u]

I like [name_m]Atlas[/name_m], but the rest are not really my style.

I like [name_u]Cairo[/name_u], [name_m]Prosper[/name_m], [name_m]Kingston[/name_m], [name_u]Cruz[/name_u], and [name_u]Sterling[/name_u]. [name_m]Saint[/name_m] and [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] are too much to live up to. [name_m]Wolf[/name_m] and [name_m]Hart[/name_m] I like as middle names but not sure how well they work as first names. I don’t like [name_m]Atlas[/name_m], but that’s purely a personal thing.

[name_u]Cairo[/name_u]- Kind of an interesting, unique place name that you don’t hear much, but not my personal style and I agree that it’d be hard to picture on an adult. I like to test things out by imagining them on like, billboards for lawyers or contacts for doctors or something. The [name_m]Law[/name_m] Office of [name_u]Cairo[/name_u] So-and-So… or Dr. [name_u]Cairo[/name_u] Whatshisname. Does it work? Does it work for your other favorites?
[name_m]Saint[/name_m] - I also think that negative associations work too hard against this one, even though I like the sound. Another thought that comes to mind is that lots of surnames start with St. (like St. [name_m]George[/name_m]). So maybe there could be some confusion about whether his first name is [name_m]Saint[/name_m] or if his last name is just St. Something?
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m]- This is one of my faves on your list. It’s unique but not restrictive; it’s a more open kind of option that leaves room for flexibility, unlike some of these others.
[name_m]Prosper[/name_m]- Too magician-y or something, I can’t put my finger on it. But yeah, maybe a cool middle as mentioned earlier.
[name_m]Kingston[/name_m]- It’s not bad. I think it sounds a little stiff; it’s kind of hard to imagine a [name_m]Kingston[/name_m] on a tee ball team. It’s also got a tricky thing for nicknames. Calling him [name_m]King[/name_m] for short could make siblings or friends not feel as important (I only know this because it was the case for a family I know who named their son [name_m]King[/name_m]).
[name_u]Cruz[/name_u]- It’s another solid, flexible choice. Not my personal style, but I think really wearable.
[name_m]Romeo[/name_m]- [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t like this at all… It’s too cultural to me. It’s like, a descriptive word more than a name, and it feels like a teasing nickname to me, personally.
[name_m]Wolf[/name_m] - This could be more wearable than it seems to me. The only image I get from this one is those cheesy wolf-in-the-woods tee shirts. It feels kind of dramatic and brooding. But it is coming into more popular circulation, and I know that not everyone would feel that way. It does bear a certain strength, so it’s up to you if you feel that this is a positive or negative kind of strength. Is it rugged and intense like a survivor, or is it rough and fierce like a dangerous predator?
[name_m]Hart[/name_m]- I think the reason so many previous mentions, including myself, find this as the favorite is because it’s one-of-a-kind, but simple and not limiting. It has a sturdy and simultaneously gentle meaning. It sounds good with just about anything. It’s wearable and enduring. It’s also perfectly easy to pronounce, spell, and identify.
[name_u]Sterling[/name_u]- wearable and a good amount of personality, just not a personal fave. Another one that might be hard to nickname. The only thing about this one is that it doesn’t seem to match the others you like.

[name_u]Truly[/name_u] all that matters is how you feel about these. Choose what feels right, you’ll know best. These are all strong options and you’ll make the perfect decision

I’m just going to chime in to stand up for [name_m]Prosper[/name_m]! I really like it - definitely a brave choice, but not dissimilar in sound and shape to names like [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] and [name_m]Casper[/name_m], so I can see it being wearable.

There’s a [name_m]Prosper[/name_m] nicknamed Prop in [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] Funke’s book The Thief [name_m]Lord[/name_m]; his brother is [name_m]Boniface[/name_m] “[name_u]Bo[/name_u]”!

[name_u]Love[/name_u]:
[name_m]Wolf[/name_m]
[name_m]Hart[/name_m]
[name_m]Romeo[/name_m]

Like:
[name_u]Sterling[/name_u]
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m]

Dislike:
[name_m]Saint[/name_m]
[name_m]Prosper[/name_m]
[name_u]Cruz[/name_u]
[name_m]Kingston[/name_m]

I like [name_m]Prosper[/name_m], [name_m]Kingston[/name_m] and [name_u]Sterling[/name_u], and feel they are the most usable of these. I immediately think of [name_m]Stirling[/name_m] [name_m]Moss[/name_m] the racing car driver, so [name_u]Sterling[/name_u]/[name_m]Stirling[/name_m] seems strong and usable to me. I don’t get where the description of [name_u]Sterling[/name_u] as ‘tacky’ comes from - are some cultural references I’m not getting? A solid Scottish name to me.

Like [name_f]Katinka[/name_f] I see [name_m]Prosper[/name_m] along the lines of [name_m]Casper[/name_m] and [name_m]Jasper[/name_m], perfectly usable, and makes me think of [name_m]Prospero[/name_m] in The [name_f]Tempest[/name_f].

I, too, am perplexed at all the hatred for [name_u]Sterling[/name_u]. It’s an adorable old-man name, like [name_m]Walter[/name_m].

[name_u]Cairo[/name_u] - For some reason I am not a fan of place names unless they have been in use for a long time as a name first.
[name_m]Saint[/name_m] - too associated with [name_u]Kim[/name_u] + [name_m]Kanye[/name_m]? Yes I would agree with you there.
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m] - Cool name! Seems a little trendy somehow? (I know siblings [name_f]Neveah[/name_f] and [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] and the two together are just… not my favorites)
[name_m]Prosper[/name_m] -Could be a really cute middle name! I love virtue names but this is a bit odd for a first
[name_m]Kingston[/name_m] - Cute !
[name_u]Cruz[/name_u] - Decent name. Could also be a nickname, maybe for [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]?
[name_m]Romeo[/name_m] - Cute but it would always be associated with [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] unfortunately.
[name_m]Wolf[/name_m] - So my sons middle name is [name_m]Bear[/name_m]. I think its wearable as a middle or as a nickname for [name_m]Wolfgang[/name_m] or another “w” name.
[name_m]Hart[/name_m] - This doesnt do much for me personally
[name_u]Sterling[/name_u] - Makes me think of silver but I like the sound, seems a little feminine.

[name_u]Cairo[/name_u] - it’s nms, but i think it would work perfectly fine as a name
[name_m]Saint[/name_m] - i agree it’s too associated with [name_u]Kim[/name_u] + [name_m]Kanye[/name_m], plus i think it sounds too wordy
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m] - I love [name_m]Atlas[/name_m], i think it’s a really cool name with fun ties to greek mythology being a plus
[name_m]Prosper[/name_m] - my first thought was how many times would the kid hear the phrase “Live [name_m]Long[/name_m] and [name_m]Prosper[/name_m]”, over all i just don’t like it as a name
[name_m]Kingston[/name_m] - this one is fine, i neither like or dislike it
[name_u]Cruz[/name_u] - Despite knowing it’s pronounced cruise, i always say cr-uh-zz in my head for some reason which makes me dislike it.
[name_m]Romeo[/name_m]- Perfectly usable, just have to be willing to live with the [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] association
[name_m]Wolf[/name_m] - I like [name_m]Wolf[/name_m], i think it’s cute and with [name_m]Fox[/name_m] and [name_m]Bear[/name_m] becoming more popular i don’t see any reason why [name_m]Wolf[/name_m] wouldn’t fit right in
[name_m]Hart[/name_m] - not a fan, sorry, just can’t see it as a first name
[name_u]Sterling[/name_u] - I like [name_u]Sterling[/name_u], it’s old fashioned but still seems cool. its in the same realm as Sturgess for me, usable with a clunky coolness

[name_u]Cairo[/name_u] - I quite like this one, it’s spunky but also very grounded and something familiar
[name_m]Saint[/name_m] - I personally wouldn’t use [name_m]Saint[/name_m] for the [name_u]Kim[/name_u] and [name_m]Kanye[/name_m] association (it’s just too strong for me)
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m] - [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the mythology connection, love the nickname [name_f]Atty[/name_f], but it does seem a little difficult for someone to wear
[name_m]Prosper[/name_m] - if I met a [name_m]Prosper[/name_m], I wouldn’t think twice about it, but I wouldn’t be able to use it myself
[name_m]Kingston[/name_m] - not loving it
[name_u]Cruz[/name_u] - also not really feeling this one
[name_m]Romeo[/name_m] - I love this one more than I should but I think it would be so sweet on a little boy!
[name_m]Wolf[/name_m] - ah, seems more like a nickname to me
[name_m]Hart[/name_m] - same as wolf, seems more like a nn but a bit more wearable
[name_u]Sterling[/name_u] - I love this one! It reminds me of [name_u]Sterling[/name_u] [name_m]Knight[/name_m] which isnt a bad association, and I think it’s very usable

I like [name_m]Kingston[/name_m], [name_u]Cruz[/name_u], and [name_m]Wolf[/name_m]…the rest…meh

I really like [name_m]Atlas[/name_m], [name_m]Romeo[/name_m], and [name_u]Sterling[/name_u].

[name_u]Cruz[/name_u] is alright (random question but seeing [name_u]Sterling[/name_u] and [name_u]Cruz[/name_u] on your list made me wonder if you have a little that is a Cars fan?)

I really don’t care for most of the other options.

Since you like [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] and [name_m]Romeo [/name_m], alternatives to [name_m]Wolf[/name_m] and [name_m]Prosper[/name_m] could be [name_m]Wolfgang[/name_m] and [name_m]Prospero[/name_m].
