[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone! [name_m]New[/name_m] to this site, but thought I would post to see what everyone thinks of the names I am in love with right now. I’m not pregnant, or planning to become pregnant soon, but I just like to plan ahead. For girls I have:
[name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] “[name_f]Elle[/name_f]” [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Naomi[/name_f] “[name_f]Mia[/name_f]” [name_f]Belle[/name_f]
[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Emeline[/name_f] “[name_f]Emmie[/name_f]” [name_u]Parker[/name_u]
And for boys:
[name_u]August[/name_u] [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_f]Indie[/name_f]
[name_u]Elliot[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_u]Beau[/name_u]
Thoughts? I’m looking for names that are timeless-both in the sense that they won’t become outdated, and in the sense that they will be appropriate for the child throughout their life. Thanks so much!
Your girl names sound really sweet! I like the flow of the longer firsts with shorter middles. [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] kinda sticks out to me because [name_f]Ava[/name_f] doesn’t have any obvious nickname options like the rest of your girl names, and it doesn’t flow well to me because of the repeated long “a” sound.
I love your boy names. The spelling of [name_f]Indie[/name_f] looks a little more feminine to me than [name_f]Indy[/name_f], but the name is a gp of mine. Also, “en” sounds in [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] seem repetitive in the same name.
Overall, I think all of your names satisfy your wish of being time-less. [name_f]Ava[/name_f] might be associated with this period of time since it is very popular right now, but I think it’s also a classic. My favorites from each list are [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] (I really love this) and [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (maybe an unexpected nickname like your other names like [name_f]Della[/name_f]?)
Ooh, I love your style!!! I especially like [name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f], and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]. If pressed I would choose [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] because it is the most unexpected but still classic and lovely.
I also really the first names you have chosen for boys. [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] is my favorite combination with [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] close behind. [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] is probably a little less likely to be associated with particular popularity in this time period, if that is a concern for you.
[name_f]Ava[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] – like them separately, but together too similar in sound and different in style
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] “[name_f]Elle[/name_f]” [name_f]Mae[/name_f] – like this except prefer [name_f]Nell[/name_f] or [name_u]Penny[/name_u] as a nickname
[name_f]Naomi[/name_f] “[name_f]Mia[/name_f]” [name_f]Belle[/name_f] – [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] is great, I just don’t think [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] needs a nickname
[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] – a little boring but [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] is nice and will age well I think
[name_f]Emeline[/name_f] “[name_f]Emmie[/name_f]” [name_u]Parker[/name_u] – my favorite. [name_u]Parker[/name_u] is very “now” but I think it’s cute in the middle
[name_u]August[/name_u] [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] – like this one. Very current but doesn’t feel trendy to me. I think [name_u]August[/name_u] will age well.
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_f]Indie[/name_f] – not a fan of [name_f]Indie[/name_f] and [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] is a little hard for me to say and I don’t like the nicknames.
[name_u]Elliot[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] – very nice. I would say boring but I like it.
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] – this one is kind of boring. I feel [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is overused
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_u]Beau[/name_u] – not a fan of [name_u]Beau[/name_u] but I like [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
