[name_f]Norma[/name_f] → Theoretically similar to the well-loved [name_f]Nora[/name_f], but wears that “old lady name” quality in a less appealing manner, and I can only think of [name_f]Norma[/name_f] [name_m]Bates[/name_m] whenever I see it anywhere
[name_f]Michaela[/name_f] → [name_f]Kinda[/name_f] basic for me in the same way that [name_u]Michael[/name_u] is. A fine name, just not my taste!
[name_f]Megan[/name_f] / [name_f]Meghan[/name_f] → I don’t mind this one, specifically the [name_f]Megan[/name_f] spelling. It just feels attached to a specific time period, and now it has the Markle association that some may not be able to get past for a while.
[name_f]Acacia[/name_f] → I know an [name_f]Acacia[/name_f]! It has all the qualities that a commonly appreciated Nameberry name would, so I’m surprised I don’t see it around here more often.
[name_f]Alicia[/name_f] / [name_f]Alisha[/name_f] → [name_m]Even[/name_m] if I didn’t have the personal associations I have with this name, I think I’d still feel the same way about – neutral in a fine for someone else but not for me way.
[name_f]Carrie[/name_f] → Another one I’m surprised not to see that often, though I do understand it might be too attached to [name_f]Carrie[/name_f] by [name_m]Stephen[/name_m] [name_m]King[/name_m]. I also think of [name_f]Carrie[/name_f] Underwood, lol
[name_f]Mariah[/name_f] / [name_f]Moriah[/name_f] → Very pretty in sound, maybe deserves more attention than it gets, but also… [name_f]Mariah[/name_f] [name_u]Carey[/name_u]. For some this might be like naming your daughter [name_f]Beyonce[/name_f]!
[name_u]Brody[/name_u] → I like it, I’d like to see more of it.
[name_m]Jason[/name_m] → Like [name_f]Megan[/name_f] it feels a little stuck in a particular time but less so. I feel like generally a lot of J names have this kind of vibe (Justin, [name_m]Jacob[/name_m], [name_u]Jesse[/name_u], [name_f]Jessica[/name_f], [name_u]Jordan[/name_u], etc) and they’re just sort of falling out of fashion?
[name_m]Cole[/name_m] → I know or know of quite a few Cole’s that are around my age (25) and I think it fits in well with a lot of recently popular names. Generally I prefer the [name_u]Colby[/name_u] options though.
[name_m]Josiah[/name_m] → [name_m]Boy[/name_m] names with the –iah suffix feel extra religious to me, and it’s just not something I’m personally that into, but I can see this one, like [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m], gaining some traction.
[name_u]Dawson[/name_u] → A fine name, maybe too tied with [name_u]Shane[/name_u] [name_u]Dawson[/name_u] though considering a wide range of current or expectant parents would have grown up on the internet during his era? Also reminds of names like [name_m]Deacon[/name_m], [name_m]Duncan[/name_m], [name_u]Darren[/name_u], [name_u]Dorian[/name_u], etc. which I tend to favor over [name_u]Dawson[/name_u] itself. A fine name otherwise!
[name_m]Dalton[/name_m] → [name_m]Ah[/name_m], another fine name, but I just have a strange aversion to it probably because I knew one in high school that I didn’t like very much and his face is burned into my mind, lol
