I never really see these names being discussed anywhere and I was just curious what impressions people had of them. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like them? Why or why not? What kind of vibes do they give you? I’m not considering them for myself, but just curious!
[name_u]Miracle[/name_u]
[name_f]Annmarie[/name_f] (or [name_f]Ann[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u], [name_f]Annamarie[/name_f], [name_f]Anamarie[/name_f], your preferred variant, etc)
[name_f]Mindy[/name_f]
[name_f]Tori[/name_f]
[name_u]Sheridan[/name_u]
[name_u]Miracle[/name_u] → it feels quite majestic yet sound-wise fairly grounded and while I wouldn’t use it, it could make for a meaningful middle
[name_f]Annmarie[/name_f] → bright and distinctive; it freshens up both names
[name_f]Mindy[/name_f] → cute and cosy
[name_f]Tori[/name_f] → cool sound, not a vibe in the UK though
[name_u]Sheridan[/name_u] → warm but rugged, quite like it

I just realized why [name_f]Tori[/name_f] is not a vibe in the UK [name_f]Do[/name_f] Victorias there ever go by [name_f]Tori[/name_f]? It’s the most common [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] nickname for my generation in [name_u]America[/name_u].
they do, but I feel like it’s less common here? I feel like I’ve only met one Tori in real life, but mostly Victoria-used-exclusively-as-a-full-name or Vicky/Vicki!
I wouldn’t judge or assume anything if I did meet another Tori here, just wouldn’t use it myself
[name_u]Miracle[/name_u] - I understand why someone might use it but it just seems like a bit much for me personally, though I’m not a big virtue name fan to begin with
[name_f]Annmarie[/name_f] - Feels old-fashioned and kinda European to me, not my favorite ever but I can see the appeal
[name_f]Mindy[/name_f] - Cute and quirky but not over the top, it could use more appreciation
[name_f]Tori[/name_f] - Feels slightly overdone among millennials at least where I am but it could be worse. I’d say I like it mildly
[name_u]Sheridan[/name_u] - I want to like it since it has a cool vibe but it always feels somehow incomplete to me, I think I subconsciously feels like the d should be a t, maybe because of the hotel chain Sheraton?
[name_u]Miracle[/name_u] - It’s truthfully not my favorite, it feels like a name that’s a lot to live up to (like [name_u]Saint[/name_u] or Blessing)
[name_f]Annemarie[/name_f] - I actually quite like her even though she feels a little outdated! I think she’s spunky and fun. [name_f]Annamaria[/name_f] reads as much more European and modern to me
[name_f]Mindy[/name_f] - Really cute and clunky!! She kinda gives the image of short librarian with chunky glasses, but I feel like she could fit right in with names like [name_f]Molly[/name_f] or [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]!
[name_f]Tori[/name_f] - Feels very overdone to me, I also associate it slightly with the [name_f]British[/name_f] political party (despite being an American lol). I think I’d prefer [name_u]Rory[/name_u] or [name_f]Toria[/name_f] as a [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] nn
[name_u]Sheridan[/name_u] - I really like [name_u]Sheridan[/name_u], she has such a cool [name_u]Irish[/name_u] vibes and definitely deserves more love!! I used to have her on my list as a sister for [name_u]Flannery[/name_u], I feel like they’re both so Irish-countryside-chic (if that makes any sense lol)

I love [name_u]Sheridan[/name_u] (Mamma Mia!!! So fun!) and [name_f]Annemarie[/name_f] (so grand but wearable) a lot.
[name_u]Miracle[/name_u] is meh to me, but its equivalent [name_f]Milagros[/name_f] is !

[name_f]Annemarie[/name_f] is very high on my list, I love it. [name_f]Mindy[/name_f] is fun in a retro way and [name_u]Sheridan[/name_u] is also fun in a sort of down to earth, cool girl kind of way.
I really like this ‘topic series’ that you do where we get to discuss unusual-to-the-forums names!
[name_u]Miracle[/name_u] is not a name I have ever considered. I do like the Spanish [name_f]Milagros[/name_f] better. I don’t unfortunately speak Spanish, so I think this helps me find [name_f]Milagros[/name_f] more name like than wordy.
[name_f]Annmarie[/name_f] I find quite appealing along with not especially interesting due to the immense popularity of [name_u]Anne[/name_u] and [name_u]Marie[/name_u]. [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite name is [name_f]Marianne[/name_f] (PN marry-Anne) though so there’s no rhyme or reason to name taste sometimes, is there?!
[name_f]Mindy[/name_f] is cute, I really like it! [name_f]My[/name_f] first associations are the show Mork and [name_f]Mindy[/name_f] and the character of Rachel’s maid of honour in Friends. It feels like the type of name where people might want to use it as a nn in the US and look for a longer name for the birth certificate. What could that be? Marianne?! [name_f]Araminta[/name_f], [name_f]Millaray[/name_f], [name_f]Mignonette[/name_f], [name_f]Amina[/name_f]? There are so many names with the ‘min’ sound. Containing the D also: [name_f]Adamina[/name_f], [name_u]Dominique[/name_u], [name_f]Iluminada[/name_f], [name_f]Jasminda[/name_f].
As a die hard [name_f]Tori[/name_f] [name_u]Amos[/name_u] fan, I will always be fond of this name! I went to school with a plethora of Victoria’s. When a third (?) [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] joined our class, I suggested [name_f]Tori[/name_f] as an alternative nn to [name_f]Vicky[/name_f], and she went by that for a while! Amos’ real name is [name_f]Myra[/name_f] [name_f]Ellen[/name_f]. Taking on [name_f]Tori[/name_f] possibly had something to do with the [name_u]Torrey[/name_u] pine tree. Adding that I am in the UK but the associations I’ve talked about totally override the political one for me.
[name_u]Sheridan[/name_u] - love this name on a girl. It helps that I knew a lovely [name_u]Sheridan[/name_u] and have the positive association with the great actor and singer [name_u]Sheridan[/name_u] [name_m]Smith[/name_m].
[name_u]Miracle[/name_u] - The sound is fun, but it feels very religious to me, which isn’t my thing!
[name_f]Annemarie[/name_f] - She’s sooo underrated! I find her super sweet, especially with this spelling.
[name_f]Mindy[/name_f] - I just think of the word minty, but it could be cute as a nickname to a name like [name_f]Araminta[/name_f] or [name_f]Miranda[/name_f]!
[name_f]Tori[/name_f] - Like others pointed out, way too political haha
[name_u]Sheridan[/name_u] - It’s okay! I prefer it on a boy I think. It does make me think of sherry very strongly, but i like the ending sound.
[name_u]Miracle[/name_u] - the idea is lovely but it seems like a lot to live up to!
Annemarie/Annmarie - I love it! Very spunky and fun; she reminds me of a storybook character!
[name_f]Mindy[/name_f] - I actually really enjoy this one! Lots of associations/connections but nothing bad
[name_f]Tori[/name_f] - feels too dated to me. [name_m]Just[/name_m] sort of “meh” I guess
[name_u]Sheridan[/name_u]- very cool and quirky! I really like it- so fresh
[name_u]Miracle[/name_u]: I feel like this could work, especially with a nn like [name_f]Mira[/name_f], but in general it’s a bit too over the top for me, and doesn’t have a very nice sound, as the “cle” kind of closes it off. I much prefer the Spanish variant [name_f]Milagros[/name_f]. Maybe as a middle?
[name_f]Annmarie[/name_f]: Cute, I like it! Kind of dated (in a nice way) and spunky. I like both [name_f]Annmarie[/name_f] and [name_f]Annamarie[/name_f], but my favourite version is [name_f]Marianne[/name_f].
[name_f]Mindy[/name_f]: This name is for sure under-appreciated. I don’t really like it (no idea why,) but I think it really has appeal as a sporty, cute, modern nickname that people have not seemed to pick up on
[name_f]Tori[/name_f]: I like [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] better, but [name_f]Tori[/name_f] alone is cool. It has kind or a rugged, mountain sound. Maybe because of the word [name_m]Tor[/name_m]?
[name_u]Sheridan[/name_u]: [name_f]Pretty[/name_f]. I like Gaelic names and this one has nice oceany sound. I like the meaning too. For some reason it kind of reminds me of the word [name_u]Meridian[/name_u] like the time zone? Not a bad connotation though
