I never really see these names being discussed anywhere and I was just curious what impressions people had of them. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like them? Why or why not? What kind of vibes do they give you? I’m not considering them for myself, but just curious!
[name_f]Angelique[/name_f] – [name_m]Super[/name_m] elegant and pretty! This is on my long list of names I like.
[name_f]Daria[/name_f] – This has never appealed to me at all. I think because I went to elementary school with a [name_f]Daria[/name_f] I didn’t particularly like
[name_f]Audra[/name_f] – [name_f]Love[/name_f] it! Cool and chic, unexpected yet not weird. [name_m]Super[/name_m] underrated I think, and I’m surprised it’s not more popular because of [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. It feels like Audrey’s more grown-up sister name to me. Also on my long list!
[name_f]Evita[/name_f] – Very [name_f]Eva[/name_f] Perón to me, but I like the sound a lot and see the appeal.
[name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f] – Sweet and rare yet familiar. I’d love to meet a little [name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f].
[name_f]Angelique[/name_f] - It’s fine but I like [name_f]Angeline[/name_f] better
[name_f]Daria[/name_f] - love this! It’s on my long list.
[name_f]Audra[/name_f] - It’s fine but I like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] better
[name_f]Evita[/name_f] - Not a fan. The “Evi” just reminds me of the word “evil”.
[name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f] - cute but I prefer the [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] spelling.
[name_f]Angelique[/name_f] → sleek, distinctive and sort of ornate?
[name_f]Daria[/name_f] → rugged and earthy
[name_f]Audra[/name_f] → warm and strong, familiar but with a twist
[name_f]Evita[/name_f] → I like the light, bright feel, the zippy sounds and the blend of [name_f]Vita[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] - though it does feel tied to the musical (even though I’ve never seen it - so I can’t comment on it’s connotations)
[name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f] → it’s got a touch more flair than [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] - though they sound very similar in my accent - but this has emphasis on the end? Interested to know how different it would be to [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] for you?
I suppose [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] vs. [name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f] would have different stresses. [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and [name_f]Marie[/name_f] have different vowel sounds too.
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] → ROSE-meh-ree (merry and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] are the same in my accent; marry is different)
[name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f] → rose-muh-REE
I don’t like any! Sorry.
I like idea of [name_f]Angelique[/name_f], but I think [name_f]Angelica[/name_f] sound and looks better.
I have association with [name_f]Daria[/name_f], but I still don’t think it’s nice name even if I didn’t have such association. I think of birds when think of [name_f]Audra[/name_f], it’s a type of bird in various videogames for some reason. I never liked [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f], so don’t like [name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f] and [name_f]Evita[/name_f] is too gimmicky for me.
[name_f]Angelique[/name_f]: For some reason this reminds me of [name_m]Domenique[/name_m], which I don’t particularly like. I think [name_f]Angelica[/name_f] or [name_f]Angeline[/name_f] would be better.
[name_f]Daria[/name_f]: [name_m]An[/name_m] ok name. Not on my main list, but I don’t mind it.
[name_f]Audra[/name_f]: I have an [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] as a close friend, so this will always feel like an [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] variation. I like it though, and it gives me red and pink blossom imagery
[name_f]Evita[/name_f]: Feels like a slightly made-up name to me, and reminds me of the word inevitable.
[name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f]: [name_f]Pretty[/name_f], but I prefer [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] because of pronunciation.
[name_f]Angelique[/name_f] - It’s not the worst, but a bit much for me personally, too descriptive sounding
[name_f]Daria[/name_f] - Again not totally bad but a bit plain feeling and something about the sound puts me off a little. [name_m]Even[/name_m] ignoring the obvious diarrhea it sounds kind of anatomical
[name_f]Audra[/name_f] - I see the appeal though I think I prefer [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Evita[/name_f] - Not something I hear or think about often but it’s kinda cool! It has the sharpness of [name_f]Vita[/name_f] but also the friendliness of [name_f]Anita[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f] - I’m somewhat put off by a personal association, but it is nice. I like [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] better but get why someone might choose it
