I have managed to narrow my potions for number 10 on my list down to these, but I can’t seem to let any from this list go! I seem to love them equally. [name]Anne[/name], [name]Catherine[/name], and [name]Wren[/name] honor family. I love [name]Tess[/name] for its meaning and [name]Gwendolyn[/name] and [name]Catherine[/name] for their literary references (The Importance of Being [name]Earnest[/name] for [name]Gwendolyn[/name]; the plethora of [name]Jane[/name] [name]Austen[/name]'s Catherines).
[name]Anne[/name]-[name]Sophie[/name]- Interesting double name, I’ve never heard it before. I really like double names but I get this one confused with [name]Anna[/name]-[name]Sophia[/name]. Would she go by both names or [name]Anne[/name] or [name]Sophie[/name]?
[name]Catherine[/name] “[name]Kit[/name]/[name]Kitty[/name]”- I love this, [name]Kitty[/name] is an adorable nickname for a little girl, [name]Kit[/name] for a preteen and [name]Cate[/name] or just [name]Catherine[/name] for an older woman. [name]Catherine[/name] will always be classy, you can’t go wrong with it!
[name]Eva[/name] “[name]Evie[/name]”- I love [name]Eva[/name]- so glamorous, but still useable. [name]Evie[/name] is an adorable, very European nickname. [name]Eve[/name] is a great choice too.
[name]Eliska[/name]- I’m Czecch, so I can appreciate this, but considering on where you live, it might be too out there.
[name]Gwendolyn[/name] “[name]Winnie[/name]”- Not a huge fan. [name]Gwendolyn[/name] is too much name, [name]IMO[/name]. [name]Winnie[/name] reminds me of [name]Winnie[/name] the Pooh.
[name]Tess[/name]- I feel like this is not enough name(sorry I’m so difficult)!
[name]Wren[/name]- This is too nicknamey/middlenamey to me. What about as an alternative nickname to [name]Catherine[/name]?
[name]Anne[/name]-[name]Sophie[/name]- Not a big fan.
[name]Catherine[/name]- I named a character [name]Katherine[/name] with the nickname [name]Kit[/name]. I think it is very beautiful.
[name]Eva[/name]- I think this is overdone
[name]Eliska[/name]- Not my favorite
[name]Gwendolyn[/name]- I [name]ADORE[/name]. It is on my list with a nickname “[name]Wendy[/name].”
[name]Tess[/name]- I feel like this is more of a nickname than a name.
[name]Wren[/name]- It is okay.
My favorite is [name]Gwendolyn[/name], followed by [name]Catherine[/name].
[name]Anne[/name]-[name]Sophie[/name] - I am no too found of double names, but it is sweet.
[name]Catherine[/name] “[name]Kit[/name]/[name]Kitty[/name]” - I love [name]Catherine[/name], except I struggle to figure out whether I prefer the K or C spelling. Plus its such a historical names so it gets my vote!
[name]Eva[/name] “[name]Evie[/name]” - I really like this name, I prefer it to [name]Ava[/name] especially, [name]Eva[/name] sounds lighter to me.
[name]Eliska[/name] - I like it but I always forget how to pronounce it when I see it.
[name]Gwendolyn[/name] (possibly nn [name]Winnie[/name]) - [name]Love[/name] [name]Winnie[/name], don’t like [name]Gwendolyn[/name], its just not my kind of sound.
[name]Tess[/name] - I really love [name]Tess[/name] because it has family value to me and its a versatile short form as well.
[name]Wren[/name] - I didn’t used to like [name]Wren[/name], but its kind of 50/50 with me now.
You know how I feel about [name]Anne[/name]-[name]Sophie[/name], it’s one of my favorite French names and so usable here! Except for [name]Gwendolyn[/name] I like the rest of your choices but prefer [name]Aleska[/name] to [name]Eliska[/name] though I’m not sure if it’s a youneek name or what.
Ahh, I knew I would find at least one person who loved [name]Anne[/name]-[name]Sophie[/name] as much as I do! From what I recall, you are one who prefers to wait for the child for the nn, yes? But off the top of your head, do you like any nns for it? I’m a big nn person and I’d at least to have an idea for a nn, if it goes on my list, since I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to ensure [name]Anne[/name]-[name]Sophie[/name] all the time. I like [name]Annie[/name], [name]Sophie[/name], and just [name]Soph[/name], but they don’t seem as wonderful as just [name]Anne[/name]-[name]Sophie[/name] to me.
@shannoncancer - Erm, I don’t know yet. I love [name]Anne[/name]-[name]Sophie[/name] in all her glory, but I do like [name]Annie[/name], [name]Sophie[/name], and just [name]Soph[/name], too, like I mentioned to @agent99. As I’m big on nns, she’d probably get some nn, but I’m not sure as of yet what it would be.
@shvibziks - I’m not sure [name]Anne[/name]-[name]Catherine[/name] is my cup of tea, sorry! I do love both names, but together it seems a bit bland. I’m quite picky about my double barrels, I’m afraid!
@ashthedreamer, I’m just not a big nn person in general but I would probably wait to see the baby first but I think names like [name]Eve[/name] nn [name]Evie[/name] are a given and like them.
[name]Gwendolyn[/name] is my favorite from your list followed by [name]Eva[/name] and [name]Catherine[/name]. My least favorite from your list would have to be [name]Wren[/name]. This might be silly, but whenever I hear this name, I think of a wrench.
[name]Anne[/name]-[name]Sophie[/name] - So [name]Lovely[/name], it feels like it could be an American Girl [name]Doll[/name]'s name
[name]Catherine[/name] “[name]Kit[/name]/[name]Kitty[/name]” - I love [name]Catherine[/name] but I like other NNs better than [name]Kit[/name]/[name]Kitty[/name]
[name]Eva[/name] “[name]Evie[/name]” - I prefer [name]Ava[/name] but [name]Eva[/name] is great too!
[name]Eliska[/name] - I like it but I think it could have so pronunciation issues and it kind of sticks out with your other favorites. [name]Eleni[/name] and [name]Eliska[/name] also seem a little close for sisters
[name]Gwendolyn[/name] (possibly nn [name]Winnie[/name]) - I have been so in love with [name]Gwendolyn[/name] lately especially with NN [name]Winnie[/name]. This one gets my vote to the be your 10th name
[name]Tess[/name] - It’s nice but it feels more like a NN
[name]Wren[/name] - This is more of an MN type of name to me
