[name_f]Ardith[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliska[/name_f] - I’m Slavic, but not Czech
[name_f]Madelief[/name_f]
[name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f]
[name_f]Ceridwen[/name_f]
maybe list:
[name_f]Fiammetta[/name_f]
[name_f]Kirrily[/name_f]
[name_f]Petal[/name_f] (prefer Latica which means the same)
[name_f]Gwyneira[/name_f]
[name_f]Eluned[/name_f]
[name_f]Morwenna[/name_f]
words from which I like the sound, but dislike the absurdity of idea to use these as actual names (truth to be told, [name_u]Bliss[/name_u] and [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] I have considered to actually use):
[name_f]Arcana[/name_f]
[name_f]Alchemy[/name_f]
[name_f]Boheme[/name_f]
[name_f]Reverie[/name_f]
[name_f]Fantasy[/name_f]
[name_f]Glimmer[/name_f]
[name_u]Bliss[/name_u]
[name_f]Whimsy[/name_f]
Ardith - I actually quite like [name_f]Ardith[/name_f], although I’ve only received negative feedback on it so far.
[name_f]Eliska[/name_f] - Cute! I like it.
[name_f]Madeleif[/name_f] - I sadly only see ‘disbelief’ for some reason, but this is probably just me. It’s a lovely name otherwise.
[name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f]! So unique and pretty.
[name_f]Ceridwen[/name_f] - Same as [name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f].
Fiametta - This is really growing on me. So elegant!
[name_f]Kirrily[/name_f] - I’m not so sure about this, though I see the appeal. It’s definitely got a cute sound!
[name_f]Petal[/name_f] - Never been my cup of tea. Latica is cool!
[name_f]Gwyneira[/name_f] - Has something magical to it. I used to worry it looks to complicated, but I guess it’s fine.
[name_f]Eluned[/name_f] - I quite like it!
[name_f]Morwenna[/name_f] - A huge yes from me.
Arcana - I actually quite like the idea of this as a name!
[name_f]Alchemy[/name_f] - I like the look of it, but this is a middle only for me.
[name_f]Boheme[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Boheme[/name_f]! Such a great sound and appearance.
[name_f]Reverie[/name_f] - Same as [name_f]Boheme[/name_f].
[name_f]Fantasy[/name_f] - Same as [name_f]Alchemy[/name_f].
[name_f]Glimmer[/name_f] - I’m personally unsure about this. Same as [name_f]Alchemy[/name_f] and [name_f]Fantasy[/name_f].
[name_u]Bliss[/name_u] - [name_u]Bliss[/name_u] is cute, but I’d prefer it as a nickname or in the middle spot.
[name_f]Whimsy[/name_f] - Such a beautiful sound! I like it. Usability similar to [name_u]Bliss[/name_u] for me, though.
[name_f]Ardith[/name_f] - strong and interesting Eliska - sharp and brisk Madelief - sweet and sleek Rhoswen -warm and earthy Ceridwen -magical
Fiammetta -fiery and strong Kirrily -cheerful and bright Petal - delicate and sweet - would make a nice middle Gwyneira - fiery and lovely Eluned -magical and interesting Morwenna -warm and earthy
Arcana - a little harsh for me Alchemy -intriguing and bold Boheme - this is bold but feels usable Reverie -love the sounds and feel Fantasy -interesting but doesnt feel namey Glimmer -sleek and sweet Bliss - it has a sweet sound Whimsy - whimsical and sweet
[name_f]Ardith[/name_f] - I really like [name_f]Ardith[/name_f], it’s got a lot of familiar sounds but it’s still very unique. Eliska - To me it sounds more affectionate/nickname-y. I think I prefer names like Niska and [name_f]Saskia[/name_f] for a similar set of sounds but more easy on an anglophone tongue. Madelief - I love [name_f]Madelief[/name_f], I’m considering suggesting it to my partner as an option for us! Rhoswen - I don’t love it, it’s fine but it reads a little oddly to me and I don’t love the sounds. I do like [name_m]Rhodes[/name_m] or [name_f]Rhoda[/name_f] though. Ceridwen - [name_f]Lovely[/name_f], great name. I met one the other day.
Fiammetta - I know a little [name_f]Fiammetta[/name_f] ([name_f]Fia[/name_f]), she must be about 5 now. Her dad is Italian, but I don’t think that’s necessarily a pre-requisite. I do also know a cat with the name, but I don’t think that discounts it. Kirrily - I’ve always loved this name. Great choice! Petal (prefer Latica which means the same) - It’s alright, I feel it’s a little on the nose for me. Gwyneira - Another name already on my (long) list! I think it’s just lovely! Eluned - I was so surprised this one was so underused, I think it’s got so much charm to it and again, a lot of popular/well known sounds but in a less common combination. Morwenna - It’s fine, another one I was surprised wasn’t more commonly used. I don’t love the ‘wen’ sound in any name except [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] really, but this one is fine.
Arcana - I think [name_f]Arcana[/name_f] is lovely, I think most people won’t even reason how nerdy it is! It’s got a nice sound. Alchemy - very cool, definitely best as a not-for-real-child name (I might steal it for my similar list which as [name_f]Antimony[/name_f] on it) Boheme - I don’t really like this one, but I know a lot of people do like it Reverie - I like [name_f]Reverie[/name_f]! I think it’s a little out there without being too wild Fantasy - I agree, probably a bit much Glimmer - honestly it mostly makes me think of a character in the hunger games, it’s got a nice sound but I can’t unmake that association so the name doesn’t work for me! Bliss - I don’t love it, but I do think it is probably usable Whimsy - I think it’s a bit much as a name, but I have [name_f]Whisper[/name_f] on my not-for-real-child list, so I think it’d make a cool middle name.
Ardith - I prefer [name_u]Arden[/name_u], but [name_f]Ardith[/name_f] is also nice.
[name_f]Madelief[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] this!
[name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f] - Also a favorite.
[name_f]Eliska[/name_f], [name_f]Fiammetta[/name_f] - Not my style, but perfectly nice names.
[name_f]Eluned[/name_f], [name_f]Ceridwen[/name_f] - I like both of these, especially [name_f]Eluned[/name_f], but I think you’ll run into significant pronunciation issues with both.
[name_f]Kirrily[/name_f] - So spunky! A bit different in style to your other options, but I really like [name_f]Kirrily[/name_f].
[name_f]Petal[/name_f] - I don’t think [name_f]Petal[/name_f] or Latica make great first names, honestly.
[name_f]Gwyneira[/name_f] - Beautiful.
[name_f]Morwenna[/name_f] - Really I just love all your Welsh options lol
I think [name_f]Arcana[/name_f] and [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] make nice names, but the rest of the word names don’t work for me.
Rhoswen is on our own list. I love the sound of it, but I don’t love how it looks when written or typed. Weird, I know, but that’s what it is.
I also really like [name_f]Eliska[/name_f], and [name_f]Madelief[/name_f] would be a perfect middle: [name_f]Eliska[/name_f] [name_f]Madelief[/name_f].
Fiametta, [name_f]Kirrily[/name_f], and [name_f]Petal[/name_f] (I like this better than Latica) are all beautiful. [name_f]Gwyneira[/name_f] looks cool, but I’m not loving the sound of it. Elunded and [name_f]Morwenna[/name_f] are a little too cartoon-villainess for me.
I don’t think using word names is absurd. After all, names have been derived from words since the beginning of language. There’s a blogger with twin girls named [name_f]Boheme[/name_f] and [name_f]Reverie[/name_f], and I love both of those. [name_u]Bliss[/name_u] is also very wearable. The rest are okay, but I personally wouldn’t use them.
