I recently came across the name [name_m]Swen[/name_m] and thought it was interesting. I can’t decide if it would actually “work” though. What are your opinions? I live in the US if it helps…
Though I can’t think how you’d get there, it feels more like a nickname than an actual name. That said, with Finns and other similar names so popular, I doubt it would feel all that strange on a playground in 5-7 years.
I think [name_m]Sven[/name_m] is a better choice.
I’m not sure how it’s pronounced. Is it the same as [name_m]Sven[/name_m] or is it pronounced with the English W sound?
[name_m]Sven[/name_m] (with a v not w) is a really common name in [name_u]Sweden[/name_u], NOrway and even in Finland you hear it - mostly on the older generation - and I dont particulary like it, sorry!
I believe [name_m]Swen[/name_m] is pronounced just like [name_m]Sven[/name_m].
