Thoughts on this name for our soon to be baby boy

Hello! Wife and I are expecting our first born child next month, a little baby boy. We’ve been struggling with boy names and have a fairly short list but mainly have two as our top choices right now. We’d love to get some outsider perspectives on our top choices. Our top contender right now is [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] [name_m]Scott[/name_m] [name_m]Roman[/name_m]. We really like that it’s classic, but not overdone name, and seems like it’d be fitting for a lot of different personality types. We feel it’s a very handsome name and is strong but soft at the same time. Our second choice that we also like a lot, but maybe just ever so slightly less, is either [name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_m]Roman[/name_m], or [name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Jeffrey[/name_m] [name_m]Roman[/name_m]. [name_f]My[/name_f] Wife’s main gripe with [name_m]Miles[/name_m] is it’s pretty popular right now it seems between both spellings (Miles/Myles). Thoughts/opinions? Thanks in advance!

I prefer [name_m]Miles[/name_m] but it sounds like you don’t have any negatives about [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] so go with your gut/heart. It’s a great choice!

Congratulations!

Personally I prefer [name_m]Miles[/name_m]. I really love this name he’s so handsome but has been taken off my list due my sister S/O being [name_m]Myles[/name_m] :woman_facepalming:t3:

Anyways my personal opinion doesn’t really matter it’s about the name you love and that’s clearly [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] so I would go with him.

All the best 🩵

[name_m]Adrian[/name_m] [name_m]Scott[/name_m] [name_m]Roman[/name_m] is delightful! [name_m]Strong[/name_m], charming and handsome, but with a nice blend of softer sounds there too. [name_m]Classic[/name_m] and international but not over done

[name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Jeffery[/name_m] [name_m]Roman[/name_m] is pretty cool and rugged, but sleek too! I prefer [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] though personally

I really love [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] [name_m]Scott[/name_m] [name_m]Roman[/name_m]! I agree with you that it isn’t overdone and fits many different personalities your baby may have. I think it flows very nicely all together too

[name_m]Adrian[/name_m] [name_m]Scott[/name_m] [name_m]Roman[/name_m] seems perfect to me!

Thank you all for the input and reassurance on our selection!

You can’t go wrong with either, I love them both, but I very slightly prefer [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] [name_m]Scott[/name_m] [name_m]Roman[/name_m]. [name_f]Love[/name_f] it!

If [name_m]Roman[/name_m] is the last name, I think I’d go with [name_m]Miles[/name_m]. Something about [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] [name_m]Roman[/name_m] sounds like [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] is an adjective… a word describing the [name_m]Roman[/name_m]. I know that it isn’t, but it has that sound.

I prefer [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] [name_m]Scott[/name_m] [name_m]Roman[/name_m]! [name_m]Miles[/name_m] feels very trendy recently.

I would definitely go with [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] [name_m]Scott[/name_m] [name_m]Roman[/name_m]! It’s such a good name! Very well paired!

Oh [name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Jeffrey[/name_m] is handsome! There was a family on another name forum I was on years ago that considered (and I think used) this exact combo… [name_m]Jeffrey[/name_m] doesn’t normally do anything for me, and I don’t think I would consider [name_m]Miles[/name_m] myself (nice name but not my style) but it just feels very cozy and handsome as a combo. [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] is definitely less trendy at the moment and super classic - my nephew befriended a little [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] a while back and I thought it was refreshing to see! I do like [name_m]Miles[/name_m] more myself but if your goal is to avoid trendy names… I think [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] [name_m]Scott[/name_m] is probably the safer pick. I do prefer [name_m]Miles[/name_m] with [name_m]Roman[/name_m] (assuming this is your surname?) than [name_m]Adrian[/name_m], though… [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] [name_m]Roman[/name_m] is just a little harder to say. But I don’t think you can truly go wrong with either name!

Good luck!

[name_m]Adrian[/name_m] [name_m]Scott[/name_m] [name_m]Roman[/name_m] seems to be the perfect choice for you!
[name_m]Adrian[/name_m] is a great name. A very underrated, charming and handsome name. Your top choice flows very well and sounds wonderful.

[name_m]Adrian[/name_m] is a name I’ve never had on my personal list but would be pleasantly surprised to come across in real life. I might actually add it to my list now. :joy: I like the name [name_m]Miles[/name_m] but agree that it has become quite popular, which is a big con for me. For that reason, I would choose [name_m]Adrian[/name_m]. It feels a bit more special, and I think [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] goes with [name_m]Roman[/name_m] better as well.

I love [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] and think it’s really underrated so I’d go with [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] [name_m]Scott[/name_m] [name_m]Roman[/name_m] !!

[name_m]Miles[/name_m] is definitely more popular and there’s more of a chance for there to be another [name_m]Miles[/name_m] in his classes than another [name_m]Adrian[/name_m]

If you do choose to go with [name_m]Miles[/name_m] I’d pick [name_m]Jeffrey[/name_m] over [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] as the middle name even though I actually prefer the name [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] to [name_m]Jeffery[/name_m]. I think the flow of [name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Jeffrey[/name_m] [name_m]Roman[/name_m] flows smoother than [name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_m]Roman[/name_m]

I prefer [name_m]Miles[/name_m]. I have a grandson [name_m]Miles[/name_m] and LOVE the name. He is almost 10 and though it is now slightly more popular than it was in his birth year, he knows very few [name_m]Miles[/name_m] around his age. I don’t think it should be a problem. I like it because it is one syllable and a modern classic; recognizable, but not used that frequently……great on a little boy or a grown man……very versatile. I’d use the [name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_m]Roman[/name_m] combination.

Both names are so lovely! You can’t go wrong. But my vote goes to [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] for the reasons you listed. I considered it for my son actually and only didn’t use it because dh didn’t like it. I think it’s wonderful though

I love the name [name_m]Adrian[/name_m]! If [name_m]Roman[/name_m] is a second middle name I’d def stick with [name_m]Adrian[/name_m], it’s your top pick amd a gorgeous name.

If Roman’s the surname though it becomes a bit harder though… [name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Roman[/name_m] has a bit of a better flow, as [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] and [name_m]Roman[/name_m] both have that -an ending. But I think [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] [name_m]Roman[/name_m] would be fine too.

If you went for [name_m]Miles[/name_m], my fave is [name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m], it feels easier to say and a better flow (maybe my mouth stumbles a bit over the r sound in [name_m]Geoffrey[/name_m] being followed so quickly by another R for Roman?)
