[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone! I’ve already posted something similar to this but cannot find the thread! So sorry if you’re seeing this again! But what are everyone’s opinions on the name
[name_f]Laila[/name_f] ([name_m]LAY[/name_m]-LUH) and for a middle name Lively
So,
[name_f]Laila[/name_f] Lively.
Husband suggested it and just thought I would ask your guys’ opinions!! Look forward to reading them!!

The double L sound is a bit too cutesy for my taste but I do think Lively is an interesting choice for a middle name. If you love it, I wouldn’t worry about it too much since the middle name doesn’t get used that much anyways.
I think the name [name_f]Laila[/name_f] has a pretty sound but I prefer the spelling [name_f]Leila[/name_f]. I have known three [name_f]Laila[/name_f]’s and they all pronounced it Lie-la like [name_f]Lyla[/name_f]. I’m not sure if that’s a regional thing or something, and I can definitely see pronouncing [name_f]Laila[/name_f] like [name_m]Lay[/name_m]-la but I just thought I’d mention that you may run into people saying “Lie-la”.
I agree with @holly6174 about the [name_f]Leila[/name_f] spelling. [name_f]Layla[/name_f] might also make your pronunciation clearer, although I prefer [name_f]Leila[/name_f] from a stylistic perspective.
[name_f]Laila[/name_f] Lively feels a little singsong for my taste. What about [name_f]Laila[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f], [name_f]Laila[/name_f] [name_f]Holiday[/name_f], [name_f]Laila[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Laila[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f], [name_f]Laila[/name_f] [name_u]Blakely[/name_u], [name_f]Laila[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]?
I would prefer [name_f]Layla[/name_f] or [name_f]Leila[/name_f] to [name_f]Laila[/name_f]. I adore the sound of [name_f]Laila[/name_f] Lively! Personally I love alliterative names and this one is so cute and spunky, I think it’s lovely
