Thoughts on this name

My husband and I love the name [name_f]Aerith[/name_f]. We’ve come up with a few other names that we like but nothing has stuck like this one has, we just keep going back to it!

I think it’s really pretty. I haven’t heard it before. It might cause some pronunciation problems though.

It looks intriguing and pretty - how is it pronounced

It’s pronounced ‘[name_f]Air[/name_f]-ith’.

That is beautiful! I pronounced it ‘air-ith’ before I saw your comment. My next thought was that it sounds similar to [name_f]Ardith[/name_f].

It is a very intriguing name, I did pronounce it properly without instruction but I can see it being potentially problematic depending on your location. It has a very lovely sound to it though.

Thanks for the input so far!

It sounds lovely. I believe the rare Welsh name Eiryth is pronounced the same.

Yes it is  I’m also Welsh but prefer the spelling of [name_f]Aerith[/name_f].

We’re thinking possibly [name_f]Aerith[/name_f] [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]?

It’s very pretty! I love it!

I agree it’s beautiful, ethereal sounding and gentle yet powerful. I pronounced it correctly before your instruction so I don’t think you’ll come across too many pronunciation issues, as long as you don’t mind occasionally

What a lovely whimsical name! I think [name_f]Aerith[/name_f] [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] is a gorgeous combo. As it will be new to many people you will get a range of reactions in real life, but I suspect it will grow on people who haven’t heard it before. [name_m]Just[/name_m] go with it with confidence if you decide to go ahead!

Thanks everyone! I think we’re going to go for it. We’ve thrown out some other names but nothing is sticking like this one has.

Very pretty! [name_f]Aerith[/name_f] [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] is just beautiful.

I love [name_f]Aerith[/name_f], although I’ve always said ay-rith though (ay like may)
