[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone!
Lately I’ve been crushing on like really old fashioned names.
Normally, I’m a bit embarrassed to share them, but I love love love this sibset idea
[name_f]Winifred[/name_f], “Winnie”, [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] “Daisy” & [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] “Joanie”
I adore the meaning of [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], and [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is so elegant, strong and versatile with all it’s nickname options.
Is this kind of cute, or have I completely lost my mind?
Thanks

I actually really like it! I normally like older names in general though. This set actually doesn’t feel old fashioned to me, especially with the more modern nicknames (apart from Joanie.)

I think it’s cute! I know three young sisters name El3anor, M@rgaret & Fr@ncine, it kind of reminds me of that. I think they all work perfectly together and the fact they all have multiple nn options to choose from is a massive plus for me!
They’re so cute! Given how many people on NB love vintage names, and these three are pretty popular on here, I doubt anyone will think you’ve lost your mind

These make such a charming sister set! I think you’ve found a perfect match.
They’re lovely! Yes, the names are old-fashioned, but I don’t find any of them outdated or outlandish. I find them certainly tame—you haven’t lost your mind, lol!

[name_u]Awesome[/name_u] sibset! I prefer names in full, always, but those are sweet nicknames together.
Cute!! Plus, old fashioned names are coming back into style [name_f]Joanie[/name_f] is such a wonderful nickname too!
It’s a lovely sibset and right on trend, honestly! [name_m]Lean[/name_m] into it
It’s lovely. I would go with [name_f]Winifred[/name_f], [name_f]Dinah[/name_f], and [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], but your choice is nice.
[name_m]Frankly[/name_m] given how trendy these sorts of vintage names are atm, on nameberry and irl, these really don’t feel too ‘old fashioned’ to me, they feel adorably great-grandma chic

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.
I think that these go lovely together. Here are my thoughts on the names seperately:
[name_f]Winifred[/name_f] nn Winnie-I’m in love with the nn [name_f]Winnie[/name_f]. But I just can’t get into [name_f]Winifred[/name_f]. It’s not that it’s too old fashioned. I just think that it sounds too clunky. [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f] nn [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] is my favorite, but I also like [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f], [name_f]Anwen[/name_f], [name_f]Arwen[/name_f], [name_f]Branwen[/name_f], [name_f]Ceridwen[/name_f], [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] & [name_f]Morwenna[/name_f].
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] nn Daisy-I love love love [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]! It’s on the top of my list on its own. But I also think that [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] or [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] nn [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] are cute. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] nn [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] just seems like so much of a stretch. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is nice by the way; it’s also a little heavy for me, but it’s so classic & charming that I like it anyway despite not actually liking the sound if that makes sense. [name_f]Maisy[/name_f] is my favorite nn for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]. I also like [name_f]Molly[/name_f], [name_f]Maggie[/name_f], [name_f]Peggy[/name_f] & [name_f]Gerty[/name_f].
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] nn Joanie-I’ve never thought of [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] nn [name_f]Joanie[/name_f]! I adore the classic elegant [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], but always shy away from putting it on my list because I don’t like [name_u]Josie[/name_u] or [name_u]Joey[/name_u]. [name_f]Joanie[/name_f] is not my favorite name ever, but it’s really clever & fun. I like it more than [name_u]Josie[/name_u] or [name_u]Joey[/name_u]. I do also like the nn [name_f]Posy[/name_f].
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] my rambling helps.
