Thoughts on this one?

What do we think of [name_f]Fia[/name_f]? It’s always been in the back of my mind but I’ve never really considered it a contender before. Today I was thinking about how cute twins named [name_m]Flynn[/name_m] and [name_f]Fia[/name_f] would be and it really got me thinking about [name_f]Fia[/name_f]. What are your general thoughts? [name_f]Fia[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] would probably be the combo we’d use.

I think it could work that is my cousin sofias nick name

I adore [name_f]Fia[/name_f]! I slightly prefer [name_f]Fiadh[/name_f] (which is probably pretty unnecessary in the states, but I’m a sucker for a good -dh ending; I love [name_f]Eilidh[/name_f] too), but I love the sound of [name_f]Fia[/name_f] and how fiery she feels. I don’t know that I’d use [name_f]Fia[/name_f] as a standalone; it’d probably be [name_f]Fiadh[/name_f] or as a nn to something like [name_f]Fiorella[/name_f] or Fioralba… but I do like her a lot! I like the idea of something a little longer with [name_f]Fia[/name_f] since she’s so short… something like [name_f]Fia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] or [name_f]Fia[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] would be sweet, imo!

Good luck!

I really like [name_f]Fia[/name_f]. It reminds me of [name_f]Mia[/name_f], except fresher and sassier. Plus it has the [name_m]Irish[/name_m] roots. [name_f]Fia[/name_f] and [name_m]Flynn[/name_m] are a great sibset!

[name_f]Fia[/name_f] is gorgeous!

She’s fiery, fun and fashionable. A really lovely name that suits her meaning ‘wild’ I do love the [name_m]Irish[/name_m] spelling however appreciate that [name_f]Fia[/name_f] spelling is more streamlined for outside of [name_f]Ireland[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] daughter goes to school with a [name_f]Fia[/name_f] and the name just really appeals. I also love the middle name [name_f]Belle[/name_f]. I think [name_m]Flynn[/name_m] & [name_f]Fia[/name_f] are a gorgeous pairing.

[name_f]Fia[/name_f] is light and sweet - I like it

It’s pretty, like fia emmeline in particular :tulip:

I think [name_f]Fia[/name_f] is a great choice, especially with [name_m]Flynn[/name_m]. I knew of a little [name_f]Fia[/name_f] and the name really stood out as being very pretty and unique as I hadn’t met one before, and I haven’t met one since. [name_f]Fia[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] is a lovely combo too, a very happy/cheerful sounding name.

[name_f]Fia[/name_f] is really sweet. I like it on its own, but also as a nickname for [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] or [name_f]Fiona[/name_f].

I really like [name_f]Fia[/name_f]! She’s sweet & sparkly :sparkles: Personally, I usually pair a longer middle with a shorter first name, but [name_f]Fia[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] is lovely. [name_f]Fia[/name_f] & [name_m]Flynn[/name_m] would be a precious pair

I absolutely love and adore [name_f]Fia[/name_f] soo much!! Soo beautiful!! :heartpulse:

[name_f]Fia[/name_f] is so sweet! And I adore [name_f]Fia[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]. Only potential downside I could see would be having it get lost with the Sophias of Fionas that may use it as a nickname, but thats a really small thing

Also [name_f]Fia[/name_f] and [name_m]Flynn[/name_m] are darling as a pair

i really like fia !! sweet and simple but with a bit of flair. i also love the irish spelling fiadh (pronounced the same), which brings such an enchanting, naturey vibe, and is a bit more visibly distinct (though perhaps a bit tricky in pronunciation for those who haven’t encountered her before). fia belle is very pretty too <3

I like [name_f]Fia[/name_f]. It’s simple, pretty, and underused.

I don’t like [name_f]Fia[/name_f] for its phonetic proximity to the word fear. It sounds identical in the dominant regional accent where I live, so there’d be raised eyebrows introducing a baby as fear (that’s what people would hear). I’m very much in the minority though - it’s very well loved on here, and I do think if I put that out of my head [name_f]Fia[/name_f] and [name_m]Flynn[/name_m] are cute together.

This is actually a concern I have! I’m Australian so Rs aren’t something I’m good at, which means it does sound quite similar to fear. I do think I hit the double syllables harder in [name_f]Fia[/name_f] than I would saying fear though, which makes me feel slightly better about it.

[name_f]Fia[/name_f] is very pretty - simple and sweet. [name_f]Fia[/name_f] and [name_m]Flynn[/name_m] are very sweet together and I love [name_f]Fia[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]. I’m Australian too and when I was picking up my sister from daycare today, a little [name_f]Fia[/name_f] was leaving and hearing all of these little 18 month olds call out ‘Bye Fia’ was the cutest thing ever. Like you said, the double syllables are hit harder in [name_f]Fia[/name_f] that it is pretty distinguishable from fear

Fia is a great name, it can be short for:
Fiona
Fiora
Fiorella
Fiammetta
Fioralba
Sofia
Afia

Fia Emmeline is my favourite combo, Belle is too short with Fia

Although one of my favourite names for a kid is Zara Noor so that might be a pointless point
