Thoughts on this Sib Set?

[name_u]Four[/name_u] is my ideal number of kids, so I’ve been playing around with groups of 4 and what names and honor middle names I would give them. This sib set is my current obsession but I’m not sure I’m 100% happy with it.

[name_u]Oleander[/name_u] [name_f]Edelweiss[/name_f] Ampersand
[name_u]Basil[/name_u] [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] Ampersand
[name_u]Laureate[/name_u] [name_u]Lyn[/name_u] Ampersand
[name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] [name_u]Dandelion[/name_u] Ampersand

I like longer more unique somewhat gender-neutral first names. Any thoughts on moving around middle names or suggesting similar first names are welcome. Or if you like this set let me know! TIA

I think your names are really interesting!
Is Ampersand the last name, a maiden name turned middle name or just an honor middle name you want in all your combos?
I feel like [name_u]Oleander[/name_u] Edewleiss doesn’t work. Both are really long, really unique plant names, and together they’re a bit much. I love both names individually though!
[name_u]Basil[/name_u] [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] is so handsome and classy!
I don’t know how to pronounce [name_u]Laureate[/name_u], I’d love to know! But I love most Laur- namse so I’m sure I’ll like this combo lol
[name_m]Dashiel[/name_m] [name_u]Dandelion[/name_u] - I’m not a fan of [name_m]Dashiel[/name_m]/Dashiell normally, but it’s so stunning with [name_u]Dandelion[/name_u]!! [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] combo. I will say though the [name_m]Dashiel[/name_m] spelling looks a bit weird to me, I’ve only ever seen it as [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m]. That’s just me though!

First name suggestions:
[name_u]Oberon[/name_u] or [name_u]Auberon[/name_u]

I really like this sib set! I like the individual names and they fit really well together.

That’s a very interesting sibset.

I love [name_u]Oleander[/name_u] [name_f]Edelweiss[/name_f] and [name_u]Basil[/name_u] [name_m]Clarence[/name_m]. [name_u]Laureate[/name_u] [name_u]Lyn[/name_u] goes very well with those two, but to me [name_u]Laureate[/name_u] feels a little awkward. I can see the appeal, maybe I could like it if I’d gotten used to it. [name_u]Lyn[/name_u] comes across as somewhat unsubstantial next to [name_f]Edelweiss[/name_f], [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] and [name_u]Dandelion[/name_u] as middle names, but I like the sound of [name_u]Laureate[/name_u] [name_u]Lyn[/name_u]. [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] seems to stand out in this sibset, it has a completely different feel to me than the other three. I do love [name_u]Dandelion[/name_u] though.

I love your set btw! I really like [name_u]Basil[/name_u] [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] and [name_m]Dashiel[/name_m] [name_u]Dandelion[/name_u]

Ampersand would be the last name, thanks for asking!

Like the begging of [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u], law-ree-et

This was the best online pronunciation I could find

I like it for the meaning “wreathed with laurel as a mark of honor” and the association with laurel. I think [name_f]Lore[/name_f] would be a cute nn

That was definitely a typo, thanks for catching it! I’ll edit the post

These are all so great, thanks! [name_u]Peregrine[/name_u] is also one of my faves. Resenwyn is delightful. [name_f]Willodean[/name_f] is wonderful! [name_u]Ellis[/name_u] is really cute too

Thanks for your thoughts  I really like [name_u]Laureate[/name_u] but it is a little more out there than the others, I like it’s botanical origins and I think that ties it with [name_u]Oleander[/name_u] and [name_u]Basil[/name_u]. [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] is the standout in that group, I do see it.

Any suggestions one something naturey that might take the place of [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m]?

Endellion is a guilty pleasure of mine!

Hawthorn is a great idea, I think it would fit great with these names!

Laureate as in baccalaureate? I like this word name!

Laureate [name_u]Lyn[/name_u] reminds me of [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] (American country singer). I like the alliteration here but not in [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] [name_u]Dandelion[/name_u]—maybe because [name_u]Dandelion[/name_u] is so “d” heavy with the “dandy” part?

I don’t care for the two plant names in [name_u]Oleander[/name_u] [name_f]Edelweiss[/name_f]. I like them individually, though.

Basil [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] is gorgeous. By far my favorite of your names.
