[name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] [name_u]Bear[/name_u] ‘Barney’
[name_u]Prescott[/name_u] [name_u]Jay[/name_u] ‘Scottie’
[name_m]Ignatius[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] ‘Iggy’
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] ‘Josie’
[name_u]Welcome[/name_u] to Nameberry!!
I like the set a lot: [name_m]Barney[/name_m], [name_u]Scottie[/name_u], [name_u]Iggy[/name_u], and [name_u]Josie[/name_u] go very nicely together, and are very cute nns for such strong and established first names!
That being said, I do think [name_u]Prescott[/name_u] stands out a bit - The other names feel very ancient and old-fashioned, whereas [name_u]Prescott[/name_u] feels more modern. However, I think they go well together, and if you love them, that’s all that matters!!
i love to see ignatuus/iggy in use !!
this is lovely overall, but i would say that prescott stands out a bit - the others are all clunky-cute vintage darlings, while prescott feels very sleek, professional, and preppy, maybe like a politician’s son. the nicknames are very cute and cohesive though !!
it also bothers me a bit that two of the combos share a middle initial - since you’re using streamlined one-syllable middles, the similarity between jay and jude feels very obvious. i think jude is the more cohesive of the two, but cohesion doesn’t really matter !
josephine is notably more popular than the others, but as a single sister among brothers, it stands out less. the style is consistent !
It’s a fun and sparky set!
A few doubts:
[name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] [name_u]Bear[/name_u] - I love [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m], but I probably wouldn’t use [name_u]Bear[/name_u] - it sounds a bit gimmicky (and, there was a show called [name_f]Becky[/name_f] and [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] [name_u]Bear[/name_u] and that’s all I can think about. [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] [name_u]Flynn[/name_u], [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] [name_u]Ash[/name_u], or [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] [name_u]Rhett[/name_u] came to mind)
[name_u]Prescott[/name_u] does feel a bit modern, but I think you could go with it still - like surname-as-a-first-name vibe
I love these names together, but agree with [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] [name_u]Bear[/name_u] being weakest, [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] is great but with [name_u]Bear[/name_u] it’s a bit gimmicky and cute.
I think the nicknames go really well together and it is a pretty cohesive set. [name_u]Prescott[/name_u] does stand out to me as being more modern and trendy.
I’m not sure about the middle names for them, I definitely like [name_u]Jude[/name_u] and [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] but don’t know what other middle names will go with [name_u]Prescott[/name_u] and [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m]
