Thoughts on Toby And Scottie?

Hello! What are your thoughts on the names [name_u]Toby[/name_u] and [name_u]Scottie[/name_u], individually and together? I thought it’d be cute as siblings along with [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] “[name_f]Dot[/name_f]” [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], but maybe it might be too cheesy. And any middle name suggestions for either names. TIA!

I like [name_u]Toby[/name_u], I think it’s very sweet and classic. [name_u]Scottie[/name_u] is cute, but I would prefer [name_u]Scott[/name_u] nn “[name_u]Scottie[/name_u]” personally.

I like [name_u]Toby[/name_u] and [name_u]Scottie[/name_u] together, and [name_u]Toby[/name_u] and [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] together, but [name_u]Scottie[/name_u] and [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] as siblings is a little too matchy for me, personally.

Scott sounds really 80s, and [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] and [name_u]Scottie[/name_u] is a bit cheesy. I do like [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] and [name_u]Toby[/name_u], though.

Toby is really cute, and I like the fun feel [name_u]Scottie[/name_u] has but [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] & [name_u]Scottie[/name_u] are too much in a sibset imo.

I like both [name_u]Toby[/name_u] and [name_u]Scottie[/name_u] individualy and together. I personally think that [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] and [name_u]Scottie[/name_u] would not be good sibling names just because they sound way too matchy. However, if [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] or [name_u]Scottie[/name_u] was a nn for either child, then I think it’s fine.

I love [name_u]Toby[/name_u]! Cute but sophisticated!

I’m not such a fan of [name_u]Scottie[/name_u], especially with the rhyming [name_f]Dottie[/name_f]. It’s okay though.

LOVE [name_u]Toby[/name_u]!! I’m considering putting him on my own list. For what it’s worth, I also think [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] is just adorable.

Scottie and [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] is a bit much for me personally but I do like the name on its own, for any gender. [name_u]Toby[/name_u] and [name_u]Scottie[/name_u] is also a cute set!

If it were solely up to me, they’d be [name_u]Toby[/name_u] [name_f]Maple[/name_f] and [name_u]Scottie[/name_u] [name_u]River[/name_u], but to match [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], I’d pick [name_u]Toby[/name_u] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] and [name_u]Scottie[/name_u] [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u]!

Dottie & [name_u]Scottie[/name_u] is too cheesy IMO, but [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] & [name_u]Toby[/name_u] feels nice, cute but not too much.

Toby [name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_u]Toby[/name_u] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]
[name_u]Toby[/name_u] [name_m]Edmund[/name_m]
[name_u]Toby[/name_u] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]
[name_u]Toby[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m]
[name_u]Toby[/name_u] [name_u]George[/name_u]
[name_u]Toby[/name_u] [name_m]Charles[/name_m]

I’d paired [name_u]Toby[/name_u] with a regal sounding name. I personally love [name_u]Toby[/name_u]! ([name_u]Toby[/name_u]/Tobey [name_u]Remington[/name_u] was one of my combos back ago)

I prefer all as nicknames.

I like them together, but I don’t mind some rhyming sibling nickname names. I’d go super classic with their middles like you did with [name_f]Dottie[/name_f]. [name_u]Scottie[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m] and [name_u]Toby[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u].

I love [name_u]Toby[/name_u]! So warm and friendly. [name_u]Scottie[/name_u] is really sweet too (for any gender) but I do find it a little much with [name_f]Dottie[/name_f]; and I prefer [name_f]Dottie[/name_f], personally. So [name_u]Toby[/name_u] and [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] would be my pick of the three for a sibset! To fit with [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], I’d pick something equally classic for a middle name–I really like @cactusgram’s [name_u]Toby[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] (or mixing and matching, [name_u]Toby[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m]!).

I think [name_u]Scott[/name_u] nn [name_u]Scottie[/name_u] is the best choice. [name_u]Toby[/name_u] sounds dated and I don’t think it brings much to the table, if I am to be totally honest.
[name_u]Scott[/name_u] ages better than [name_u]Scottie[/name_u].
[name_f]Dottie[/name_f] is cute, I think it’s too similar to [name_u]Scott[/name_u] to be used as a sibset. [name_u]Scott[/name_u] and [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] are adorable and excellent choices, and you can always use the nn you love for everyday use.

I get a strong dog vibe from [name_u]Toby[/name_u] and [name_u]Scottie[/name_u] together. [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] [name_m]Holmes[/name_m]’ dog is [name_u]Toby[/name_u], and scotties are the nickname for Scottish terriers. If they weren’t together I don’t think I’d have this problem!

I was thinking more about nicknames, and [name_u]Scottie[/name_u] and [name_f]Dot[/name_f] are really cute nicknames together and sound similar enough to be a great set but not too similar to cause an issue.

I think [name_u]Toby[/name_u] is very sweet and vintage, with a great history in the root name of [name_m]Tobias[/name_m].
I grew up with a lot of Scotts, so that name seems a bit tired to me.
