Thoughts on Todd

I just ran across the name [name_m]Todd[/name_m] and I think I might really like it. It’s a recognizable name but not overused, and I think it goes really well with our #1 girl name, [name_f]Jillian[/name_f]. Plus it means “[name_m]Fox[/name_m]” and I think it would be cute to call him [name_m]Sly[/name_m] for a NN (my maiden name is [name_m]Fox[/name_m], so we wouldn’t just call him [name_m]Fox[/name_m]).

We’ve been struggling to find a boy name that we both like!

Other names we are thinking about are:

  • [name_u]Ellis[/name_u]
  • [name_u]Parker[/name_u]

I think [name_m]Todd[/name_m] is a great choice! It’s so underused but still a very familiar name. I think it would be prefect for you considering your maiden name. From your list I also really like [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] and [name_m]Graham[/name_m].

So I love [name_m]Todd[/name_m] as a nod to your maiden name! It’s not a name I would’ve ever considered, but now picturing it on a baby or a little boy, it’s really sweet!

I like the family connection to [name_m]Todd[/name_m] so I’d say go for it! It works great with [name_f]Jillian[/name_f] too.

I like it! It’s cute with [name_f]Jillian[/name_f]. My favorites are [name_m]Graham[/name_m] & [name_u]Ellis[/name_u], but not keen on [name_u]Ellis[/name_u] w/ [name_f]Jillian[/name_f]. [name_m]Todd[/name_m] & [name_m]Graham[/name_m] would be great brother names!

[name_m]Todd[/name_m] is a fabulous, underused choice. I new a [name_m]Todd[/name_m] growing up, and he was adorable.

[name_f]Every[/name_f] [name_m]Todd[/name_m] I’ve ever known has been a tool, lmao. I find it extremely middle-aged at this point, where it’s very much date stamped to the 1970’s. I think [name_f]Jillian[/name_f] and [name_m]Graham[/name_m] are absolutely perfect, fwiw.

Side note: I did just realize when you stated that [name_m]Todd[/name_m] means “fox” that the character ‘[name_m]Tod[/name_m]’ from The [name_m]Fox[/name_m] and the Hound is a fox mind blown

[name_m]Todd[/name_m] feels dated to me, but I could see it coming back. It has a clean, simple feel. It would go well with a future sister [name_f]Jillian[/name_f].

I really like [name_m]Todd[/name_m]! It works well with [name_f]Jillian[/name_f] too!

[name_m]Todd[/name_m]'s not one I would use myself, but my eldest is a [name_f]Gillian[/name_f] and I think they both have a “not overly used 70’s name” quality to them. They’re cute together, and naming kids names that aren’t at the peak of popularity isn’t a bad thing. Plus the cute meaning doesn’t hurt, especially in your case. Go for it!

I wouldn’t use it personally but I quite like it. My first thought is [name_m]Todd[/name_m] [name_m]Smith[/name_m] ([name_m]Toddy[/name_m] Smithy), a YouTuber and Viner.

I’ve always disliked the name [name_m]Todd[/name_m]. It sounds abrupt and incomplete to me. I like the meaning though and the connection it would represent to you. Other names you could use are [name_m]Fox[/name_m] (obviously), Voss (Germanic), or [name_m]Russell[/name_m] ([name_m]French[/name_m], "red-haired or fox-colored).

I love [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] and [name_m]Graham[/name_m]! I think [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] sounds better paired with [name_f]Jillian[/name_f].
