We have it down to three… ish. One of the names we’re still flip flopping on which variant we prefer. Last name is three syllable similar to [name_m]Henderson[/name_m]. Siblings are [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] [name_f]Nicole[/name_f] and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_u]Wade[/name_u].
Adeleide ([name_m]AD[/name_m]-ell-ide) / [name_f]Adelheid[/name_f] ([name_m]AD[/name_m]-ell-hide) [name_f]Linnea[/name_f]
I know these are not the traditional pronunciations, but living in the states we thought it would be easier to Americanize them slightly.
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Nadine[/name_f] is gorgeous. [name_u]Truly[/name_u] beautiful.
I also love [name_f]Adelheid[/name_f] [name_f]Linnea[/name_f]. Would you use the nn [name_f]Heidi[/name_f]? I have such a soft spot for it!
I don’t like the name [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] very much personally, but I think it works best with your other kids names. The other two are sort of stylistically out of left field imo. I like [name_f]Nadine[/name_f] as a middle for [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]. I think that maybe [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] or [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Linnea[/name_f] would fit better with the sibset.
Well this isn’t too helpful so far! Adeleide and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] have been our top two for a while and I just can’t seem to settle on either without feeling a disappointment about not using the other. [name_f]Lilja[/name_f] is new to the list and while I like it I don’t have the connection that I have with the other two.
Yes, we would use [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] with either [name_f]Adelheid[/name_f] or Adeleide.
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is my [name_m]SIL[/name_m], and not really the style we’re going for.
I don’t remember what the other suggestions were because my preggo brain is in full effect! I think I’ll update the OP to add a poll.
[name_f]Adelheid[/name_f] [name_f]Linnea[/name_f] is gorgeous. I prefer [name_f]Adelheid[/name_f] to Adeleide…I do love it spelled [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] though.
I adore [name_f]Lilja[/name_f], she’s one on my own favourites. I dislike the pairing with [name_f]Alyce[/name_f] though. I would prefer [name_f]Alice[/name_f] or [name_f]Elise[/name_f] but even then there’s perhaps too much L going on.
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Nadine[/name_f] is lovely too - classy, but spunky.
The middles are all family names. So while the pairings are flexible, the spellings are not. MN Options are [name_f]Alene[/name_f], [name_f]Alyce[/name_f], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_f]Linnea[/name_f], and [name_f]Nadine[/name_f].
