Thoughts on twin names?

I would love some help naming babies n# 3 & 4 due end of [name]January[/name]. [name]Doctor[/name] is ‘fairly sure’ the twins are a boy and a girl! We already have a 5 year old daughter [name]Isadora[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name] and a 3 year old son [name]George[/name] [name]Wilbur[/name] [name]Alexander[/name].

I really love the names [name]Ottilie[/name] and [name]Felix[/name] but haven’t totally won my husband round yet

I would appreciate any other name ideas and middle name possibilities. Some family names are [name]Poppy[/name], [name]Georgiana[/name], [name]Florence[/name], [name]Arthur[/name] & [name]Robert[/name] - not sure about using them?

Thanks

Okay! I’ll just list some options and you can look at them, alright? [name]Do[/name] [name]Isadora[/name]'s and [name]George[/name]'s name contain family names in them?

[name]Isadora[/name], [name]George[/name], and…

My favorites with [name]Isadora[/name] and [name]George[/name] are [name]Briony[/name], [name]Emmeline[/name], and [name]Rosaline[/name]! Possible names could be [name]Briony[/name] [name]Florence[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name], [name]Briony[/name] [name]Flora[/name] [name]Juliet[/name], [name]Briony[/name] [name]Alice[/name] [name]Maria[/name], [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Poppy[/name] [name]Lydia[/name], [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Florence[/name] [name]Camilla[/name], [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Poppy[/name] [name]Ramona[/name], [name]Rosaline[/name] [name]Florence[/name] [name]Matilda[/name], [name]Rosaline[/name] [name]Florence[/name] [name]Diana[/name], or [name]Rosaline[/name] [name]Florence[/name] [name]Adela[/name].

My favorites with [name]Isadora[/name] and [name]George[/name] are [name]Everett[/name], [name]Frederick[/name], [name]Leon[/name], [name]Oliver[/name], and [name]Russell[/name]. Possible names could be [name]Everett[/name] [name]Arthur[/name] [name]Benjamin[/name], [name]Everett[/name] [name]Julian[/name] [name]Robert[/name], [name]Everett[/name] [name]Arthur[/name] [name]William[/name], [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Arthur[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name], [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Arthur[/name] [name]Maxwell[/name], [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Elijah[/name] [name]Robert[/name], [name]Leon[/name] [name]Arthur[/name] [name]Benjamin[/name], [name]Leon[/name] [name]Robert[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name], [name]Leon[/name] [name]Thaddeus[/name] [name]Robert[/name], [name]Oliver[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Arthur[/name], [name]Oliver[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Robert[/name], [name]Oliver[/name] [name]Simon[/name] [name]Robert[/name], [name]Russell[/name] [name]Benjamin[/name] [name]Arthur[/name], [name]Russell[/name] [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Arthur[/name], and [name]Russell[/name] [name]Julian[/name] [name]Robert[/name].

My favorites together are [name]Isadora[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name], [name]George[/name] [name]Wilbur[/name] [name]Alexander[/name], [name]Briony[/name] [name]Florence[/name] [name]Juliet[/name], and [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Arthur[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name], I think…

[name]Lemon[/name]

I’m going to throw [name]Soleil[/name] in the mix.

[name]Love[/name] that name.

Yes both [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Alexander[/name] are family names. I like that you suggested Am”lie as it’s my middle name! Only problem with it is that very often people pronounce it as [name]Emily[/name] :? [name]Diana[/name] is another family name.

I love [name]Adelaide[/name]! [name]Frederick[/name] nn [name]Freddy[/name] has a nice ring to it.

I must add… i have a bit of a name crush on [name]Posy[/name] atm. I’m not sure if it would work as a first name but middle name perhaps? Anyone have any thoughts?

Yes, I think [name]Posy[/name] would work nicely as a middle name - it captures the same sweet, innocent feel that [name]Charlotte[/name] has for me, personally, but it’s far too cutesy to stand alone as a first name in my opinion. Actually, something like [name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Posy[/name] [name]Diana[/name] would be sweet for a sister to [name]Isadora[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name]. [name]Do[/name] you use nicknames for your kids?

[name]Lemon[/name]

I agree about [name]Posy[/name] as a first name but [name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Posy[/name] is very sweet.

Yes [name]Isadora[/name]'s nickname is [name]Isa[/name] - pr eyeza and [name]George[/name] is G. I like both [name]Addie[/name] and Lady as nn for [name]Adelaide[/name].

Maybe [name]Adelaide[/name] and [name]Hector[/name]?

I’m not the best at making suggestions, but I love offering opinions, so I thought I’d make a list of everything you’ve mentioned:

[name]Ottilie[/name]- I don’t care for this much, it feels sort of to the wrong side of unusual for me.
[name]Felix[/name]- I love [name]Felix[/name]! I think it works really well with [name]Isadora[/name], but feels a little out there next to [name]George[/name]. Maybe use it as a middle?
[name]Poppy[/name]- Very cute, especially as a nickname. If you like [name]Penelope[/name], [name]Poppy[/name] can be her nickname, and I feel like [name]Penelope[/name] is halfway between the vintage [name]Isadora[/name] and the classic [name]George[/name]. Would make a great bridge between siblings.
[name]Georgiana[/name]- Nothing wrong with it, but I’ve never been a fan.
[name]Florence[/name]- I’ve never loved this as a first name, mainly because I like the similar [name]Flora[/name] much more, but I think [name]Florence[/name] would make a great middle. It reminds me of [name]Beatrice[/name].
[name]Arthur[/name]- I love [name]Arthur[/name]! It’s one of my very favorite boys names, and I love [name]Artie[/name] as a nickname. I think [name]Arthur[/name] and [name]George[/name] go great together.
[name]Robert[/name]- Not a big fan, still feels a little short for a comeback, but lately I have been liking [name]Bobby[/name] a lot, probably because I recently decided I love [name]Billy[/name].
[name]Adelaide[/name]- Great name, and I think it’s a good fit with [name]Isadora[/name]. I dislike [name]Addie[/name] as a nickname, and Lady is cute for around the house, but it doesn’t really work in the rest of like. I like [name]Heidi[/name] and [name]Adele[/name] as nicknames for [name]Adelaide[/name].
[name]Posy[/name]- Would be a cute nickname or a middle. I believe [name]Posy[/name] is a nickname for [name]Josephine[/name], which I love. Like [name]Penelope[/name], I think [name]Josephine[/name] makes a nice bridge between [name]Isadora[/name] and [name]George[/name].
[name]Hector[/name]- Hmm, this isn’t a name I’ve ever really thought about, but I could get on board with it. In any case I think it would make a cool middle.
[name]Diana[/name]- Unlike a lot of people around here, I love [name]Diana[/name]! I much prefer it to [name]Julia[/name] or [name]Laura[/name], which I find boring but a lot of people here adore. I love it as a first name, but it would make a good middle as well. I think it also makes a nice style connection between [name]Isadora[/name] and [name]George[/name].
[name]Frederick[/name]- I love [name]Fred[/name]/[name]Freddie[/name], but it might be weird to have sons named [name]George[/name] and [name]Fred[/name] because of [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name], which is still popular and will likely remain popular for decades, sort of like the [name]Narnia[/name] books, but since the movies are about to end it’ll probably become less obvious in pop culture.

[name]Isa[/name] and G are cute! So, are you pronouncing [name]Isadora[/name] with an “eye” sound or and “iz” sound, then? I quite like Lady for [name]Adelaide[/name]'s nickname, though the standard [name]Addie[/name] is great, too, especially if Miss [name]Adelaide[/name] turned out to be more of a tomboy, for instance.

I’m not sure how I feel about [name]Hector[/name], to be honest. It feels a little harsh for my taste, and I can only think of the character from mythology. I agree that perhaps something with two syllables would work best, especially with [name]Isadora[/name], [name]George[/name], and [name]Adelaide[/name], should you decide to use her…

What about [name]Edgar[/name], [name]Henry[/name], [name]Jasper[/name], [name]Oscar[/name], [name]Philip[/name], [name]Rupert[/name], or [name]Silas[/name]?
