I’ve been revising my lists a lot lately, I really appreciate the feedback! This is my current list:
[name_f]Leonie[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]/[name_f]Jade[/name_f] - I’m still not sold on either middle right now. [name_f]Jade[/name_f] is my middle name, but I’m not 100% set on using it for a child, I just like it. But I like the sound of [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] a little better maybe? Others have suggested [name_u]June[/name_u], but [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] is one of my other favorite first names.
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_f]Nora[/name_f]/[name_f]Clara[/name_f]/camille - we’re in the US, so the -er and -a endings don’t have the same sound.
[name_f]Thea[/name_f] [name_f]Marceline[/name_f] - does this work? it’s been rearranged a few times.
[name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] - I’m really hoping [name_u]Eden[/name_u] doesn’t jump in popularity a lot this year, because I really love it! I would maybe consider [name_f]Edith[/name_f] or [name_f]Edie[/name_f], but I don’t love them as much.

[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_f]Nora[/name_f]/[name_f]Clara[/name_f]/[name_f]Camille[/name_f] - [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_f]Camille[/name_f] is my favorite, with [name_f]Nora[/name_f] in second place.

[name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] - I like [name_u]Eden[/name_u] but with [name_f]Louise[/name_f] instead of [name_f]Louisa[/name_f].

I’m not a big fan of [name_f]Jade[/name_f] (sorry, no offence meant to you!) and I like the classic feel [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] gives sweet, girly [name_f]Leonie[/name_f], which I love. [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] is nice but would mean you couldn’t use [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] as a first, and it does lean a little more towards cutesy.
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_f]Nora[/name_f]/[name_f]Clara[/name_f]/[name_f]Camille[/name_f]: [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_f]Nora[/name_f] would be my first choice, mainly because [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is my favourite name of the three, but I also think the flow is nice and the two names complement each other. Second choice would be [name_f]Camille[/name_f] because it’s pretty and flows well. I know Americans pronounce “er” and “a” differently but I still think the triple whammy of that sound in [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is a bit too much… [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]?
[name_f]Thea[/name_f] [name_f]Marceline[/name_f]: it definitely works, even though [name_f]Marceline[/name_f] isn’t my personal favourite.
[name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]: this is very lovely. [name_u]Eden[/name_u] has really grown on me, and I like that you’ve balanced it out with a more classic feminine middle. [name_f]Edith[/name_f] is also lovely.
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_f]Nora[/name_f] (the last two are very close, I just prefer the flow of [name_f]Thea[/name_f] [name_f]Marceline[/name_f])

I prefer [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] [name_f]Jade[/name_f], not that fond of [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]. Although I don’t think either suit [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] that well. I think it is hard to find a name that goes well with [name_f]Leonie[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] but you may be not keen on how popular [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is for a middle.

[name_u]Eden[/name_u] seems to be popping up a fair bit on nb but then many names pop up and I look up their rankings in the US and UK and there’s barely anyone using them still. I prefer [name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Louise[/name_f].
This is normal. Your tastes are a moving target. I think the key to not worrying over picking the perfect name is realizing this. The name you give her one day over another may vary but once she is there it just becomes her name. There is no one perfect name, just the right one for that child at the time of their birth. You have a great list, there is no rush to get it down to one and even if she came now this would be a good size list to pick a name. I find it much easier as the pregnancy progresses some names just feel right and others don’t. I have seen many people panicking before the baby is born to pick the perfect name but rarely afterwards, and from personal experience there is a good chance you will just know by the time she is in your arms.
Personally, I love [name_f]Leonie[/name_f]. Although I prefer less nickname-y names in general so I’d pick [name_f]Leona[/name_f] or [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] as the full name and for [name_f]Thea[/name_f] I really like [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] or [name_f]Althea[/name_f]. The others aren’t really my style but I do like [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]. [name_u]Eden[/name_u] feels very trendy to me, like this generations [name_f]Heather[/name_f].

My one concern with [name_u]Eden[/name_u] is definitely the popularity. It’s by far the most popular of my favorites (although [name_f]Thea[/name_f] has been jumping the last few years), and it’s even more popular than the national average in my state (large [name_m]Christian[/name_m] population is most likely to blame!). I’ll watch the SSA rankings this year and decide if it’s too popular for me or not, but I really love it right now!
Everyone who liked [name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] better - that is another options I’m considering. I just love [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] but it doesn’t seem to work with my other names, and [name_f]Louise[/name_f] kind of just feels like a filler middle name to me. Other options I’ve considered are [name_u]Eden[/name_u] [name_f]Marceline[/name_f] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f], [name_f]Thea[/name_f] [name_f]Lorraine[/name_f], or [name_f]Thea[/name_f] with something completely new.
