Love the name Valerie with the nickname Val, what are your thoughts? Will it become outdated?

Yes, at some point in the future it will be dated, like every name. But I don’t know when. I think that also depends on your location.

it’s very pretty (though not my personal style), but for me, it already feels dated. that means that it’s actually likely to come back in the future, so i’m not worried about it dating!

I really like [name_f]Valerie[/name_f]. I didn’t used to, until I met a lovely [name_f]Valerie[/name_f] who really helped me. Now I think it’s a sweet name. Yes, it’s somewhat dated, but I don’t think it’s as dated as (say) [name_f]Sharon[/name_f] or [name_f]Brenda[/name_f]. It has a timeless quality.

i have a friend with the nn val (her full name isn’t valerie but it’s very similar), and her name has never felt old-lady-ish to me
I love [name_f]Valerie[/name_f]! It’s actually on my shortlist. I think it’s a bit dated but overall it’s one of my personal favorites!
