Hello name lovers!
A few months ago I stumbled across the name Vivia and I immediately fell in love with it. What are your first impressions when you read the name?
Despite my love for the name, I have one reservation about naming my future daughter that. The reason is that Vivia is very similar to the popular name Vivian in all its variations and I’m worried that my future daughter would always have to correct her name. Would you think of Vivian when you hear the name Vivia?
What do you think of the name combination Vivia Francesca?
Best wishes
Isabella
[name_f]Vivia[/name_f] [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] is gorgeous!
She may have to correct it when people are reading it, because people may read it wrong or think it’s a typo. But I don’t think people would mishear it when said out loud. But I don’t think that should stop you from using the name. It’s a beautiful name and I like it better than [name_u]Vivian[/name_u].
I like [name_f]Vivia[/name_f] and it goes beautifully with [name_f]Francesca[/name_f]!
Yes, it could require regular spelling and correction. I can imagine, “Is that short for Olivia?” too. However, it’s such a beautiful name. [name_f]Every[/name_f] single name has issues - if it’s popular, there are usually several spellings, if it’s less so, people are unsure how to spell it…
...even as a name nerd
I have to type out customers names at work, when they say [name_u]Clare[/name_u] Cook (Claire Cooke?) it’s cause for pause just like hearing [name_f]Gillian[/name_f] Bardwell (Jillian Bairdwell?)
[name_f]Vivia[/name_f] [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] is gorgeous! To me, [name_f]Vivia[/name_f] is full of life and bubby personality with those stunning repeated v sounds!
[name_f]Vivia[/name_f] is absolutely beautiful!! So bright, vibrant and bubbly!!
[name_f]Vivia[/name_f] might occasionally get called [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] in same way an [name_f]Olive[/name_f] might get [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] or [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] but i think peope would get used to it.
[name_f]Vivia[/name_f] [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] is lovely!!
It’s pretty but, unfortunately, I think you would get “Vivian” a lot since it’s a much more common name.
[name_f]Vivia[/name_f] is beautiful! I actually don’t know how often it will get mistaken as [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] because of the different ending a sound. I do think you might get [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] a bunch because of their similar ending sounds. When not spoken clearly, [name_f]Vivia[/name_f] sounds really close to [name_f]Oliva[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] name is [name_f]Lena[/name_f] and I get [name_f]Nina[/name_f] a TON and when first introducing myself I occasionally pause and say “uh” before my name and so I get [name_f]Alena[/name_f] a ton too. [name_f]Vivia[/name_f] might have a similar experience with [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] but I don’t think any of those are reasons not to use it. It’s gorgeous and familiar enough to not sound weird but still rare enough to be a really special and unique name.
I prefer it to [name_u]Vivian[/name_u], but I don’t like 2 names ending in a together. [name_f]Vivia[/name_f] [name_f]Francine[/name_f] is my style, but in general I love your thinking.
