Thoughts on Warren as a girls name?

Idk, I have just really been loving the name [name_m]Warren[/name_m] as a girls name, even though it’s not even unisex. I just find it has a more rugged feminine down to earth vibe, like a tomboy kind of version of [name_f]Lauren[/name_f], pretty similar. What are thoughts? Also I want to hear any names that you like that don’t fit gender norms because I know it seems to be a trend going on in any name group I’m in

Not my fave. I don’t like the name Warren very much (partially because it seems stale to me, and also I’ve known a yucky person called this). Gender neutral names I love for girls include Pascale and Rooney! Maybe you’d like Laurence / Laurie on a girl, since it also sounds like Lauren!

To me it feels very masculine, although I think it could be nice as a middle name.

It’s funny you mentioned this - I was just thinking yesterday about names I like that don’t fit gender norms. I really like [name_u]Jade[/name_u] and [name_u]Arden[/name_u] on boys (Arden is technically unisex, but more commonly given to girls), and love [name_u]Niko[/name_u] for a girl! I find that the “k” spelling makes it a lot more feminine.

i’m not a fan, personally. however, i think the nn ren could make it more doable

i don’t like masculine names on girls, but i like feminine names on boys! a couple on my list are anne, cleo, lavender, maria and marie

I think it could work -maybe because it has a naturey vibe? And she could always go by [name_u]Wren[/name_u]?

A couple of other suggestions:

[name_u]Barrett[/name_u]
[name_u]Wallis[/name_u]
[name_u]Kerrigan[/name_u]
[name_u]Keegan[/name_u]
[name_u]Keaton[/name_u]

I like it for a girl! However, I am like you… I for whatever reason prefer more masculine names for girls.

With my last pregnancy, we struggled to come up with a girl’s name. Like the night the baby was born, we still didn’t know! It was a boy, so we were ok, but I think this being my style was a piece of why. We finally agreed on [name_u]Avery[/name_u], which is unisex but in my head more feminine and I am still afraid too popular to use.

Other I like are -
[name_u]Barrett[/name_u] (mentioned above and a family name on my side, actually my mn)
Weston/Westyn (the y makes it more feminine to me for some reason)
Westley/Westlie
[name_u]Parker[/name_u]
[name_u]Walker[/name_u]
[name_u]Banks[/name_u]
(I apparently like W’s too…)

I would like this for a boy but not for a girl. It feels very masculine to me.

I do not like this name…most likely due to a bad association.
