I love [name_f]Winona[/name_f]! It’s one of my favorite girl names. I use it as a middle name for a lot of names on my list. I think of a free spirited type of girl when I hear it.

She feels very outdoorsy to me; I picture a tan girl kayaking in a mountain lake.

It’s a really gorgeous name and has a really nice meaning. I prefer it to other [name_u]Win[/name_u]- names, but I also think it should be reserved for those of [name_f]Sioux[/name_f] heritage, even with the pop culture reference of [name_f]Winona[/name_f] [name_u]Ryder[/name_u].
The vibes I get from it are outdoorsy, well-read, and confident.

Between [name_f]Winona[/name_f] [name_m]Kirk[/name_m] of [name_f]Star[/name_f] Trek and the eponymous [name_f]Wynonna[/name_f] Earp, this name has tons of rough-and-tumble, bad@ss femme energy to me.
