Thoughts on Zev as first name or middle?

After DH vetoed the name [name]Leo[/name], I’m now considering the name [name]Zev[/name] which means wolf in Hebrew. Last name is pronounced “lee vee”. Any thoughts on these combos or others I haven’t thought about:

[name]Zev[/name] [name]Oliver[/name] [name]Levy[/name]
[name]Zev[/name] [name]Henry[/name]
[name]Jordan[/name] [name]Zev[/name] (but then his name would be [name]Jay[/name]-Z…lol)

Thoughts? [name]Tia[/name]!

I like your sense of humor girl w/regard to [name]Jordan[/name] [name]Zev[/name]. It’s sounds like a Middle [name]East[/name] crisis as well. You seems to like the vowel v. It’s definitely a very Hebrew/Jewish name and great to honor cultural significance. [name]Henry[/name] as middle has the same ending as a last name. [name]Zev[/name] [name]Oliver[/name] seems to work best no?

I love [name]Zev[/name]. Great name.

As a middle it has that one-syllable goes-with-most-things thing going on, while being unexpected compared to the typical one syllable boy’s names.

I love the name [name]Zev[/name] and the name [name]Henry[/name]. [name]Both[/name] [name]Zev[/name] [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Henry[/name] [name]Zev[/name] appeal to me.

[name]Jordan[/name] [name]Zev[/name] works as long as you’re okay with the initials. I dislike [name]Oliver[/name], always have, so that’s a bit sorta not working for me but I could see it working for people who like [name]Oliver[/name]!

Have you considered [name]Benjamin[/name] [name]Zev[/name] or vice versa? They’re a traditional pairing, like [name]Ari[/name] [name]Judah[/name] or [name]Naphtali[/name] Tzvi, because the wolf was the symbol of the Tribe of [name]Benjamin[/name]. [name]Just[/name] a thought. I just like the connection. [name]Benjamin[/name] may be too traditional for you? But I like its solid classic appeal to contrast with [name]Zev[/name]'s more out-there quality.

I prefer [name]Zev[/name] in the first name spot, because a name like [name]Zev[/name] is awesome, and should be showcased as such. However, [name]Zev[/name] [name]Oliver[/name] [name]Levy[/name] is a lot of V. But [name]Zev[/name] [name]Henry[/name] [name]Levy[/name] is a lot of ee.

[name]How[/name] about [name]Zev[/name] [name]Jordan[/name] [name]Levy[/name]? It flows well, doesn’t have the similar sound problem, and puts [name]Zev[/name] right in front.

I love [name]Zev[/name], but wasn’t sure how others would react to it as a first name. Leaning towards going bold and using it as a first name with a more common name as a mn (something less Jewish) What middle names would go with [name]Zev[/name]?

I’m open to more ideas/comments. Thanks, everyone!
