Thoughts on Zora?

I’m following up on a previous post. I am warming up to [name]Zora[/name], but with some reservations. Could [name]Zoey[/name] be a nickname?

What are your thoughts on [name]Zora[/name] - love it or hate it?

Thanks!
M

I like [name]Zora[/name], it does make me think “Zorro” at first but that’s not a bad image. Very exotic sounding. I like [name]Zola[/name] too, you might like that.

I think it’s pretty and intriguing. However, my first thought is palm reader. I prefer [name]Cora[/name] or [name]Zara[/name], but I could probably warm to it. I think [name]Zoe[/name] would make sense as a nn.

I REALLY like it, and not just because it’s part of my user name (which is a name I randomly stole from a gravestone). I slightly prefer the Biblical spelling–[name]Zorah[/name]. I also think of Zorro, but as the previous poster said, there’s nothing wrong with that. You may also like [name]Zoya[/name], a Russian and Greek variant of [name]Zoe[/name] that means “life.”

I like it a lot and think [name]Zoey[/name] is a perfectly usable nn. It’s uncommon but pronounceable. Go for it!

[name]Zora[/name] is ok.

I’m not a fan of [name]Zora[/name] and While [name]Zoe[/name] works it doesn’t feel like a natural nn to me.
It reminds me too much of Zorro - in my mind that is definitely not a great thing.
Not bad just not what I’d want. I much prefer [name]Cora[/name] or [name]Zola[/name].

I don’t mind [name]Zora[/name], but I much prefer [name]Zara[/name]. As far as the nn, [name]Zoe[/name], I guess I don’t really see it, it feels a bit forced to me

[name]Zora[/name] is pretty and I think you could use [name]Zoe[/name] as a nickname.

I like [name]Zora[/name] but I don’t like [name]Zoe[/name] as a nickname. I really don’t think you need a nickname for a two syllable name anyways.

I’m a bit ambivalent on this name. Sometimes, I think its pretty and upbeat, but then I say it a couple of times and feels bit “blah”. I prefer [name]Zoya[/name] actually.

I love [name]Zora[/name] and [name]Zola[/name]

[name]Zoe[/name] is a downgrade. [name]Zora[/name] is 2 syllables so why have a nn that’s also 2 syllables? [name]Zo[/name] makes sense, [name]Zoe[/name] doesn’t
