Thoughts please

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] all. I’d love opinions on the name [name_m]Axton[/name_m]. I’d prefer stay away from the more common names, ie, [name_m]Liam[/name_m], [name_u]Aiden[/name_u], [name_m]Austin[/name_m], etc. Husband is on the fence, gf thinks he will be teased in school, but I honestly don’t think it’s that off the wall. Everyone keeps asking what we’d call him for short, [name_m]Ax[/name_m]? Lol, I’m not sure why we have to call him anything for short, our daughter’s name is [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u] and we call her [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u].

I like it!!!

I am not personally fond of the name. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_u]Ashton[/name_u]? Similar in sound and look. Or Anson.

Why does she think he’ll be teased? Nothing obviously tease-able stands out to me, makes me think of [name_m]Axel[/name_m]. I also don’t think it needs a nickname. It’s not personally my style but I see no reason it’s not usable.

I think [name_m]Axton[/name_m] is a fine name, and I agree with you, a nickname is not required. [name_m]Axton[/name_m] is only two syllables, call him [name_m]Axton[/name_m]!
All the best!

Personally I’m not keen on [name_m]Axton[/name_m] but it has a contemporary sound, like [name_m]Braxton[/name_m] and [name_u]Paxton[/name_u]. I can’t think of any reason why a boy would be teased for being named [name_m]Axton[/name_m] (unless there’s a pop culture reference I’m not aware of).

I’m not in love with it, but I don’t hate it either. Kind of neutral. haha But that being said, I don’t think you have anything to worry about as far as a kid being teased for the name [name_m]Axton[/name_m]. It’s not even a weird name.

Seems hard to wear. [name_u]Ashton[/name_u] is more neutral.

Thank you for your input. :slightly_smiling_face:
