Ruby - I’ve always been kind of neutral on [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] but I think it’s sweet and definitely usable! I think it fits with your list. I know you’re not in the US but it ranked #66 last year so it’s clearly a safe choice!

Caroline - I love [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]. It’s timeless and sweet and completely usable. I think [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] works with your list!

Autumn - I like [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] too. I think it fits with your list. It’s sweet and I love the autumnal colors I get from the name. Definitely usable.

Destiny - [name_f]Destiny[/name_f] is not my style but it’s perfectly usable and I know you like word names- as far as word names go, it’s a safe choice! I think it works in 2020 and beyond and fits well on your list.

Alexis - I don’t love [name_u]Alexis[/name_u], I think it’s a little overused and [name_u]Alex[/name_u]- names are so popular that it doesn’t stand out much for me. However, that’s coming from me, who loves [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], and every [name_f]El[/name_f]- name ever :joy: It’s definitely usable and I don’t think it clashes with your list, though I don’t think it fits as well as the others, either.

Lainey - I absolutely love [name_f]Lainey[/name_f]! It’s totally usable, works in 2020 and beyond, and fits pretty well on your list (you don’t have many other nickname-y names, but I think it fits anyway!). I’d love to meet a little [name_f]Lainey[/name_f].

Maci/Macey - I like the sound of these two! I prefer [name_u]Macey[/name_u], as [name_f]Maci[/name_f] feels a little insubstantial to me as a full name. I think they’re totally usable and work in 2020. I think [name_f]Maci[/name_f]/Macey works with your list.

Overall, I don’t think you should be concerned about the usability of these names! They’re all very well-established choices.

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] - It’s cute and spunky, I like it!
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] - One of my faves. I think it’s one of the most versatile names out there. It could work on so many different people, and the nicknames help too.
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] - I think it has a really unique sound and it’s very pretty
[name_f]Destiny[/name_f] - It feels dated, very 90s. I like the nickname [name_u]Desi[/name_u] though
[name_u]Alexis[/name_u] - Cute, though I prefer it on a boy and find [name_u]Alex[/name_u] names a bit dated for girls
[name_f]Lainey[/name_f] - So cute! [name_u]Love[/name_u] it as a full name or nickname
[name_f]Maci[/name_f]/Macey - Definitely prefer [name_u]Macey[/name_u]. A sweet name, though I think [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] is more fun

They all work with your list imo.

Ruby - I still consider this old lady
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] - Sweet and classic, not frilly
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] - Sweet and little vintage, just enough :smiley:
[name_f]Destiny[/name_f] - very 90s kinda sounds like a WNBA team name
[name_u]Alexis[/name_u] - A bit harsh sounding but a strong name
[name_f]Lainey[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] this nicknamey name!
[name_f]Maci[/name_f]/Macey - (Definitely prefer [name_f]Macy[/name_f] spelling) Its cute, very young sounding

All of them are totally normal and usable (I’ve never understood what this means actually) names.

Ruby sticks out as maybe not going with your list since I don’t see many old school names on your list. But [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] would go well with [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] so it will work.

Alexis also maybe doesn’t fit your vibe, but it could go with some of your more modern picks too.

  • Ruby~ I used to DESPISE this, but it’s so spunky and bold! It lives up to the color personality, for sure; however it can be such a gentle moniker, too! It works with your list. xx She would work well today.
  • Caroline~ [name_u]Love[/name_u], love, LOVE. Wonderful classic. Works with your list a little bit (I’m spotting [name_f]Rebekah[/name_f] there), but if you had a modern nickname for her-[name_f]Carrie[/name_f]?- then it would blend in well.
  • Autumn~ It’s one that will always be half dated-half classic, like [name_u]Holly[/name_u]. I’m not sure how it would fare in these next couple of years, but maybe in 2030 and onward? She seems to be the “big sister” out of your list.
  • Destiny~ Not terrible, in my opinion. Maybe even a guilty pleasure of mine- not sure! It definitely fits your list. She would be like [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] on your list, but even older. She’s kind of dated.
  • Alexis~ Simply overused, unfortunately (or fortunately). Had they not been so abused in the 1990s-2000s, it would fit in really well today. I think they fit in quite well!
  • Lainey~ I like her! Gentle and a \little\ more soft spoken than [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]. Take out the ‘I’ and she’s perfect, personally. She could fit in your bunch! She worked a tad bit better in the 90’s, but I think she could make a comeback in a little while. :wink:
  • Maci/Macey~ Trendy; not a favorite. I could see her being on your list, though! With [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] sticking around, she would ride the tide pretty evenly, I would think.

  • Destiny - it’s okay, I like the meaning but the sounds don’t appeal to me
  • Alexis - it’s quite nice and versatile
  • Lainey - I really like it. [name_u]Light[/name_u] and sweet
  • Maci/Macey - I like [name_f]Macy[/name_f] -[name_f]Maci[/name_f] and [name_u]Macey[/name_u] look a bit fussy, but I enjoy the sounds

Hi there.

Here are my honest thoughts-

  • Ruby-I like it. It’s vintage, glamorous & spunky. It’s simple & not too terribly popular.

  • Caroline-This is nice. It doesn’t sparkle, but it’s a good solid classic name.

  • Autumn-I want to like this. I really like [name_f]Summer[/name_f]. But that’s the only season name I can get on board with. I think that this just sounds kind of heavy maybe? And it’s oddly more common on the SSA charts than I thought.

  • Destiny-Meh. Very 90s, & kind of…lady of the night-ish.

  • Alexis-Also very 90s & kind of blah. I don’t think that it has a pretty sound, & kind of just sounds like a snobby girl.

  • Lainey-I like the way this sounds, but it seems too nick-namey. I don’t like [name_u]Laine[/name_u] or [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] much though. And if you did do [name_u]Delaney[/name_u], you’d want to spell it [name_u]Laney[/name_u]. I like [name_f]Elena[/name_f] & [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f], but then the spelling doesn’t make sense either…I guess [name_f]Elaina[/name_f] is okay?

  • Maci/Macey-Oddly, I love [name_f]Maisy[/name_f], but think [name_f]Maci[/name_f]/Macey sounds trendy & too cutesy. It really doesn’t make sense. :joy: I’d go ahead & spell it [name_f]Macy[/name_f] though. That seems to be the most common spelling.

Ruby - BIG yes from me! Charming, sweet & timeless!
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] - [name_f]Lovely[/name_f]! Very versatile.
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] - So pretty. Fits well with your other names.
[name_f]Destiny[/name_f] - Not my style, I can see it in your UC as a middle though :slight_smile:
[name_u]Alexis[/name_u] - Trendy, but always cool :wink:
[name_f]Lainey[/name_f] - More of a nickname for me.
[name_f]Maci[/name_f]/Macey - Cute. Also not really my taste though.

They are all usable, also I love [name_f]Leah[/name_f], [name_f]Isabella[/name_f], [name_f]Adalynn[/name_f] & [name_f]Claire[/name_f] from your list!

  • Ruby - 10/10: Classic but not too frilly and has nice imagery!
  • Caroline - 9/10: [name_u]Love[/name_u] this one, it just doesn’t have that same bright feel as [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]!
  • Autumn - 8/10: Very nice name but I just feel like it’s a tad bit overused
  • Destiny - 9/10: I like how it’s an uncommon word name without being unheard of, and it has a nice ‘feel’ to it!
  • Alexis - 7/10: Also a nice name but it just feels a bit plainer compared to the rest of your list.
  • Lainey - 5/10: I would prefer if it was a nickname for something longer, like [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] or [name_f]Elaina[/name_f]. But if it’s by itself, I would prefer the spelling [name_u]Laney[/name_u]
  • Maci/Macey - 4/10: Not a big fan of the name, and I would prefer the spellings [name_f]Maisy[/name_f] and [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]!

Overall I really like your list, but my favorites would have to be [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Destiny[/name_f]!

Brilliant list! I think these names fit nicely!

My opinions:
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] - very overused in the UK, my opinion. It’s so cute and I think it fits any personality.
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] - very underused, haha. I love it so much, but prefer [name_f]Karolina[/name_f]. [name_f]Lola[/name_f] is quite darling as a nickname opposed to more dated [name_f]Carrie[/name_f].
[name_u]Autumn[/name_u] - I’m not keen on word names and I adore the season of autumn, lovely. Kind of on-trend, though, not a fan of that.
[name_m]Destiny[/name_f] - too many negative connotations. Screams ninetys and eightys [name_f]America[/name_f] as well, not that that is bad.
[name_m]Alexis[/name_m] - I like it on a boy rather than a girl.
[name_f]Lainey[/name_f] - kind of early 2000’s vibes. Not my favourite.
[name_f]Maci/Macey[/name_f] - it’s cute, don’t like it much. Rubs me the wrong way.

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]- It’s a nice timeless name. 7/10
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f]- I like it, but maybe slightly dated. I think it fits very well with your other names though! And I love the warmth it has. 8/10
[name_f]Destiny[/name_f]- Not a fan of it. Very '90s to me, but it fits with the word name theme you have a bit of on your list :slightly_smiling_face:. 4/10
[name_u]Alexis[/name_u]- It’s okay. A little dated, but a nice name. 5/10
[name_f]Lainey[/name_f]- I really like it! Such a sweet name. 9/10
[name_f]Maci[/name_f]/Macey- It’s okay, but I can’t picture it on a middle aged woman. I prefer the [name_f]Macy[/name_f] spelling. 5/10

Ruby I love. It seems increasingly common, but that doesn’t detract from the name’s beauty. Of course I’m not sure how many toddlers bear the name, being as I am sadly deficient in toddler buddies.

Caroline will always be classic and it’s a name with backbone.

Autumn is a gorgeous word and my favorite season, but somehow as a name it seems somewhat tired to me. I love [name_f]Spring[/name_f] though.

Lainey is cute as a nn for [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] or [name_f]Elinor[/name_f], though I like the [name_f]Lainie[/name_f] spelling better myself.

Destiny, [name_u]Alexis[/name_u], and [name_f]Maci[/name_f]/Macey I honestly dislike heartily. Especially [name_f]Destiny[/name_f].

Not so keen on the others, but feel they are all usable. [name_f]Destiny[/name_f] might be the hardest to wear, but [name_u]Desi[/name_u] is an appealing nickname.
