To my ear, [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] and [name_f]Valerie[/name_f] sound best with the chosen middle name.
I think [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] works best because of the repeated L in Lannister-[name_u]Leigh[/name_u] - if the L is actually in your last name. I also love [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] :).
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f] [name_f]Joanne[/name_f] and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] [name_u]Joan[/name_u] are my favourites.
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] or [name_f]Tessa[/name_f].
My three favourites from your list are [name_f]Tessa[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_f]Valerie[/name_f], but I don’t love how the latter two rhyme with the surname.
So [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] gets my vote! I think it sounds great with either [name_u]Joan[/name_u] or [name_f]Joanne[/name_f] in the middle.
Thanks [name_f]Katinka[/name_f], I hadn’t realised how many names on my shortlist [name_f]DO[/name_f] rhyme with surname! I don’t think it bothers me too much because of the big Lannister sound in the middle to break it up… if it was just [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] it would definitely sound odd. I might mull on that some more.
I think what bothers me so much about my partner’s fave, ‘[name_f]Alice[/name_f]’, is that is sounds like a tongue-twister with the l and s sounds in the surname.
[name_m]Just[/name_m] a thought, but have you considered using [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] with the nickname [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]?
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] seems to match your naming style, it would allow you to honour your husband’s preference for [name_f]Sarah[/name_f], and your daughter would have both a classic and a spunky name at her disposal.
I agree that the names ending in the “EE” sound, while lovely, sound a bit off with the surname.
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f] Lannisterly or [name_f]Valerie[/name_f] Lanisterly are a bit of a mouthful.
[name_f]Sarah[/name_f] does suit the surname quite well, as does [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]. The “a” ending just sound better.
I would choose [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] rather than [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] rather than [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] for this reason
I also love [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] as a nn for [name_f]Sarah[/name_f]
Other suggestions:

[name_f]Tara[/name_f] [name_u]Joan[/name_u]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_u]Joan[/name_u]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] / [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] [name_u]Joan[/name_u]
[name_f]Faye[/name_f] [name_f]Joanne[/name_f]
[name_f]Katharine[/name_f] [name_u]Joan[/name_u]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]Joan[/name_u]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_u]Joan[/name_u]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Joanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellen[/name_f] [name_f]Joanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Joanne[/name_f]
I love [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]!
