Thoughts when hearing this name

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] people,

I’ve recently heard a name I can’t get out of my head.
Wilberforce, after the British politician and slave abolitist.

So, would you use it?
If so, what name would you pair it with?

So far I’m liking [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] Wilberforce.

I do think of [name_m]William[/name_m] Wilberforce (and I also think of my guinea pig [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m], because I call him Wilberforce as a nickname)

I’m not sure I’d use it personally, but [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] Wilberforce is nice.
[name_m]Josiah[/name_m] Wilberforce, [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] Wilberforce, [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] Wilberforce, [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] Wilberforce?

My mind also goes to [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m]. I think it works as a name, esp in the middle. I like the combination with [name_m]Tobias[/name_m]!

It has a wonderful connotation that’s for sure - such a good man! I think it may be a bit much, but I am also a believer in just going for it with names you love. I do really adore [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m], and it is a much more wearable version. However, if it is going in the middle, then I think using the full name would be fine. [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] is a charming choice for the FN!

Ooh I like [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m] too! Another option I thought of was [name_m]Wilbert[/name_m].
And [name_m]Josiah[/name_m] or [name_m]Jonas[/name_m] Wilberforce have a super nice flow!! Thank you!

I might be a little hesitant about using it for a first name, but as a middle I think it’s fantastic.
Since Wilberforce is pretty heavy, I’d go with a light snappy first.

Jessa (Duggar) Seewald’s second child’s name is Henry Wilberforce. I think it would make a good middle name
