I have a few favourite names that I have liked for a while now, and a few newer ones. I tend to like vintage names.

Here is my list -

[name]Anna[/name] nn [name]Annie[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] nn (if anything) [name]Lottie[/name]
[name]Ruby[/name] nn Roo or [name]Bee[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name]/[name]Beatrix[/name] nn [name]Bea[/name] or [name]Bee[/name]
[name]Catherine[/name] nn (if anything) Cath, [name]Cat[/name], Catty, [name]Cate[/name], etc.

I guess I’m looking for opinions on the names, and what do you think would be good middle names? Also, I would like to honor family in the middle names, but I really only have one name to use, so for now I won’t mention it. Thanks in advance for all your great advice!

I was thinking maybe [name]Anna[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]? but I like [name]Charlotte[/name] as a first name too!

[name]Violet[/name]: I love [name]Violet[/name], even though it’s becoming a little trendy.

[name]Violet[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Vivienne[/name]
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Delphine[/name]
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Naomi[/name]

[name]Anna[/name] nn [name]Annie[/name]: I love this too, especially nn [name]Annie[/name]!

[name]Anna[/name] [name]Clementine[/name]
[name]Anna[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Anna[/name] [name]Jessamine[/name]
[name]Anna[/name] [name]Eloise[/name]
[name]Anna[/name] [name]Miriam[/name]

[name]Charlotte[/name] nn (if anything) [name]Lottie[/name]: I love [name]Charlotte[/name]!

[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Claire[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Emmeline[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Alexandra[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Seraphine[/name]

[name]Ruby[/name] nn Roo or [name]Bee[/name]: I’ve never really been a fan of [name]Ruby[/name], but [name]Rue[/name] and [name]Bee[/name] are cute nicknames.

[name]Ruby[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Ruby[/name] [name]Araminta[/name]
[name]Ruby[/name] [name]Amelia[/name]

[name]Beatrice[/name]/[name]Beatrix[/name] nn [name]Bea[/name] or [name]Bee[/name]: I don’t love these as much as others on your list, but they’re nice names.

[name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Phoebe[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Lily[/name]

[name]Catherine[/name] nn (if anything) Cath, [name]Cat[/name], Catty, [name]Cate[/name], etc.: This is my favorite spelling of [name]Catherine[/name]. I think it’s very elegant and classic, but not interesting enough for me to use. I like [name]Cat[/name] and [name]Cate[/name] as nicknames.

[name]Catherine[/name] [name]Cordelia[/name]
[name]Catherine[/name] [name]Sophia[/name]
[name]Catherine[/name] [name]Helena[/name]
[name]Catherine[/name] [name]Ivy[/name]

[name]Caroline[/name]: I love [name]Caroline[/name]!

[name]Caroline[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name] [name]Lucy[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name] [name]Fiona[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name] [name]Iris[/name]

[name]Clementine[/name]: I like this, but it doesn’t really seem like a name for me…

[name]Clementine[/name] [name]Sylvie[/name]
[name]Clementine[/name] [name]Cecily[/name]
[name]Clementine[/name] [name]Ellen[/name]

[name]Emma[/name]: #1 is way too popular for me!

[name]Emma[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Emma[/name] [name]Vivian[/name]
[name]Emma[/name] [name]Persephone[/name]

[name]Emmaline[/name]: I prefer [name]Emmeline[/name]…

[name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Stella[/name]
[name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Claire[/name]
[name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Bridget[/name]

[name]Delilah[/name]: I’ve never liked [name]Delilah[/name], but I do like [name]Lila[/name].

[name]Delilah[/name] [name]Victoire[/name]
[name]Delilah[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Delilah[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name]

My favorites on your list are [name]Violet[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Caroline[/name], and [name]Anna[/name]. Great list!

Thank you so much Irisrose! I really like all of your suggestions and agree with your advice! I also like the spelling [name]Emmeline[/name], but see the problem is that I love the name [name]Emma[/name] but it is soooo popular! So if I use the spelling [name]Emmaline[/name] it could be a nickname, but i don’t know if I could ruin such a wonderful name with a popular nickname! Thanks!

I think [name]Emma[/name] could definitely still be a nickname for [name]Emmeline[/name]! I pronounce [name]Emmaline[/name] the same way as [name]Emmeline[/name], anyway. And even though she would be called [name]Emma[/name], a very popular (though lovely) name, [name]Emmeline[/name] would give her a little more distinction from all the other Emmas out there.

I think so far may favourites are [name]Violet[/name], [name]Caroline[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Emmeline[/name].

For sibsets I was thinking [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Caroline[/name] and they could be [name]Lottie[/name] and [name]Cara[/name]…

Or [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Emmeline[/name], [name]Lottie[/name] and [name]Emma[/name]…

[name]Violet[/name] and [name]Emmeline[/name], [name]Lettie[/name] and [name]Emma[/name]…

Hmm, so far I think I like the first two best…

[name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Caroline[/name] ([name]Lottie[/name] and [name]Cara[/name]) are great! However, both are female variations of [name]Charles[/name], so they might be too close.

[name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Emmeline[/name] are wonderful, too, but [name]Charlotte[/name] is a lot more popular. (They’re both classic/vintage, so it’s not really an issue for me)

[name]Violet[/name] and [name]Emmeline[/name] ([name]Lettie[/name] and [name]Emma[/name]) are beautiful too! [name]Both[/name] are so vintage and lovely, though I agree with Irisrose that [name]Violet[/name] is gaining in popularity.

If you like both sets, you might like:

[name]Violet[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] and [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name] and [name]Violet[/name]
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Emmeline[/name]

[name]Violet[/name] and [name]Caroline[/name] both have the long I sound and [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Violet[/name] both end in et/otte, if it’s an issue.
