My husband has recently been thinking about the name [name]Cleo[/name] and the name [name]Chloe[/name] for our little girl. I really like both names. But I am curious as to what you guys think of them? I am especially in love with [name]Cleo[/name] but I’m still not sure if I want to spell it [name]Cleo[/name] or [name]Clio[/name]. [name]History[/name] is one of my passions and [name]Clio[/name] was the muse of history so of course I love that connection. But [name]Cleo[/name] is the short form of [name]Cleopatra[/name]- who was one of the most powerful women in history- which I also think is a great association. My only worry about [name]Chloe[/name] is that it is getting way too popular.
And I’m still not sure about how either of them look with my other girls’ names or if they flow nicely with middle name [name]Artemis[/name]…
[name]Chloe[/name] is popular, but [name]Artemis[/name] isn’t. I think it works. I love the sound of [name]Chloe[/name] [name]Artemis[/name] - its sweet but elegant.
[name]IMO[/name], [name]Cleo[/name] sounds a bit too short and nickname-y. [name]Clio[/name] is much better.
I noticed that all of the names you are considering are Greek ([name]Clio[/name], [name]Chloe[/name], [name]Artemis[/name]).
I personally like how different [name]Cleo[/name]/[name]Clio[/name] & [name]Artemis[/name] both sound and look from each other, so I think it could work. (I also like how it sounds outloud: “[name]Hi[/name], I’m [name]Cleo[/name] [name]Artemis[/name] _______.”) Between [name]Clio[/name] and [name]Cleo[/name], I think [name]Cleo[/name] [name]Artemis[/name] looks best on paper. However, looking at the names of your other two daughters, I feel like the [name]Clio[/name] spelling would fit best in the sibset: [name]Milena[/name], [name]Rosalind[/name], and [name]Clio[/name]. I also prefer the [name]Clio[/name] spelling overall, and I am a bit of a mythology geek, so I love that it would honor one of the Muses (especially the [name]Muse[/name] of history, and you’ve said history is one of your passions!).
I say [name]Clio[/name] [name]Artemis[/name] over [name]Chloe[/name] [name]Artemis[/name].
I love [name]Clio[/name]/[name]Cleo[/name] [name]Artemis[/name]! Very nice! I would spell it [name]Clio[/name] because of the Greek mythology connection but i don’t think you could go wrong with either spelling
I like [name]Chloe[/name] [name]Artemis[/name] because it mixes up a popular/very familiar name with an unusual/antique/ancient name.
I actually like fn [name]Clio[/name] best with [name]Cleo[/name] in 2nd, but I don’t like mn [name]Artemis[/name] for them as much because it doesn’t have that same juxtapose thing…
I do like [name]Clio[/name] [name]Artemis[/name] or [name]Cleo[/name] [name]Artemis[/name], but it has a serious/heavy vibe imo.
I like [name]Chloe[/name] most out of those names, when it comes to [name]Cleo[/name] I like [name]Clea[/name] as an alternative, it’s just a little bit softer and more feminine.
[name]Chloe[/name] is the most popular girls name in my state (I’m Australian so probably doesn’t apply to you), so I’m sort of over it. [name]Cleo[/name]/[name]Clio[/name] I love, though. [name]Apollo[/name] and [name]Clio[/name] would work wonderfully.
Hey-why don’t you have a play on this: What Does My Name Mean? The Meaning Of Names it is a numerlogy website. you type the baby name in and it tells you what type of person they are destined to be…I actually do believe in that sort of thing but could just be fun if you want to play!
