I love, love, love the name [name]Jovi/name and I got it from the film Elf and I do often struggle to let it go but it really doesn’t go with my other favourite girls names.
Joviana was the closest I got to a full name with the nickname [name]Jovi[/name], and while I still think it’s gorgeous I’m just not sure I could use it.
I strongly dislike the middle name [name]Rayne[/name], I’ve always found it quite cheap sounding and very Stripper-ish but I do love the name [name]Reina[/name].
I voted for [name]Jovi[/name] [name]Rayne[/name], although with something as short as [name]Jovi[/name] I’d personally choose a longer middle name. [name]Rayne[/name] works well with the longer Jovianna, but although I often appreciate more feminine variations, this falls into my “too-heavily-embroidered” category. [name]Aubrianna[/name] and Oliviana are examples of other names that give me this feeling–they have too many frills. (Although I know I have [name]Christiana[/name] on my own list! But that’s a case of adding just an A, not the -anna ending.)
Anyway. If your friend likes [name]Jovi[/name], my feeling would be to just use [name]Jovi[/name], and go with a longer (and frillier?) middle.
[name]Jovi[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Jovi[/name] [name]Aurora[/name]
[name]Jovi[/name] [name]Octavia[/name]
[name]Jovi[/name] [name]Cassandra[/name]
[name]Jovi[/name] [name]Aurelia[/name]
Perhaps? Personally, from that list I like [name]Jovi[/name] [name]Octavia[/name]. It has some really cool repeating sounds, and [name]Octavia[/name] lends the bouncing [name]Jovi[/name] solidarity and class.
Best wishes!
What about something like [name]Giovanna[/name] or [name]Jovanna[/name]? You could still use [name]Jovi[/name] as the nickname. Jovianna seems too made-up to me. I am not a fan of [name]Rayne[/name]. What about something like [name]Jovanna[/name] [name]Renee[/name] or [name]Giovanna[/name] [name]Renee[/name]?
I quite like the trimmer French version: [name]Jovienne[/name]. Chops off a syllable but looks formal and distinguished.
If you’re sure you’d like the middle name [name]Rain[/name]/[name]Rayne[/name] (which I have to agree doesn’t look as polished or interesting as [name]Jovienne[/name]), it still works. Likewise, if you length to [name]Reina[/name], still works.
[name]Jovienne[/name] is a great option.
I voted for Jovianna [name]Rayne[/name]. I think [name]Jovi[/name] is cute, but too cute for a grown woman. I think Joviana [name]Rayne[/name] helps out with that, and if she ever doesn’t want to be [name]Jovi[/name], she could be [name]Via[/name] or [name]Annie[/name].
