Thoughts?

what do you think of the names [name]Kimber[/name] and [name]Greer[/name]?

I go back and forth on [name]Greer[/name]. I think its a great, strong, no-frills name, but other times I think its just a bit too abrupt. Mostly I like it though.
[name]Kimber[/name] reminds me of the character from the TV show Nip/[name]Tuck[/name], who I believe was some kind of exotic dancer or something similar.

I like [name]Kimber[/name], though it does make me think of brand of guns by that name and the character on Nip/[name]Tuck[/name]. [name]Kimber[/name]/[name]Kimberly[/name] was always a favorite name of mine.

[name]Greer[/name] makes me think of the author by that name, [name]Germaine[/name] [name]Greer[/name].

I prefer [name]Greer[/name] over [name]Kimber[/name] immensely. I personally find [name]Kimberly[/name] dated and [name]Kimber[/name] doesn’t sound like a complete name.

[name]Kimber[/name]/[name]Kimberly[/name] is not my style, but I find [name]Greer[/name] delightful!!!

I like [name]Kimber[/name] a lot actually, but I often feel tempted to finish it up with “ley”. [name]Greer[/name] I’m no fan of though.

Agreed, sorry. It feels like a modern invention, fitting in style with [name]Ember[/name] and [name]Amber[/name] and [name]Timber[/name] (although not all of those are made-up–it’s just reminiscent of them, while trying to feel like it’s the new, 2.0 version of [name]Amber[/name] or something. Sorry.).

However, I love [name]Grier[/name]/[name]Greer[/name]. I prefer the [name]Grier[/name] spelling, but either is lovely. I love that it means “watcher”–it’s streamlined, simple, strong. And the throwback to old Hollywood could be nice, too. I would love to meet a [name]Grier[/name].

I like them equally. I also prefer the [name]Grier[/name] spelling, but the [name]Greer[/name] spelling isn’t bad. I actually know several [name]Kimberly[/name]'s and 1 [name]Kimber[/name]. (I actually know a Kinder, pn kin-dur, too. Very similar to [name]Kimber[/name].) It seems a bit incomplete to me, but also a bit fresher/newer than the dated [name]Kimberly[/name].
