Anyone else like the name [name_m]Elwood[/name_m]?
I heard it on this HGTV show, Rehab Addicted and fell in love. My fiance thinks i’m crazy. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you see it on a girl or boy? I’ve heard both.
I’ve never heard it on a girl. It’s all boy to me! My first association is [name_m]Elwood[/name_m] P. Dowd from [name_m]Harvey[/name_m]. It’s not a terrible name and I love the association, but I’m not 100% sure it’s ready for a comeback. It definitely still feels very old man. If you love it though go for it! If you can bring your fiance around that it. 
It’s interesting. I’m not crazy about it, but I could see it.
Maybe I can get in a middle name combo

I don’t like it at all, personally. But its definitely all boy…maybe a cool middle name?
I think of it as a girl’s name, though I think it could work for both! It reminds me quite a bit of Legally Blonde - [name_f]Elle[/name_f] Woods.
I think it’s quite pretty. I like the nickname [name_f]Elle[/name_f] or [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]. The more I think about it, the more I could see it being a very handsome name for a boy, as well.
Definitely boy, but I don’t like it. Interestingly enough, my neighbors were considering this for their first if it was a boy, but they just found out they’re having a girl.
Well, HGTV Rehab addict has a niece with the name, oddly enough. She’s a real cutie too.
I think it could be either gender. [name_m]Elwood[/name_m] is actually a place name to me, an area of [name_m]Melbourne[/name_m] in Australia. I think it’s quite a nice name but I wouldn’t use it myself as it’s cemented in my mind as a place.
To me [name_m]Elwood[/name_m] is a boys name. I definitely think it could grow on me!

I think it’d be a cool girl name, if it had significance like being a maiden name or similar.

@awheezie to answer your question, most of my names on my list are always thought up by myself and run by him. if he likes it, it goes on the list.
Some names he said he liked before I put them in a combo: Damon, Elijah, Elias, Niklaus, Aubree.
Some he has vetoed out: Noah, Rowan, Tate, Arlo, Elwood. There are more to this and I just can’t think of them. I’ve been throwing names at him for 2 years.
Names he likes and I vetoed: Silas and Eustice.
ALSO if I could get my way with any name that he doesn’t like, itd be Dominik. I just always pictured myself with a little Dom. It’s still on my list sitting there. It has moved down, in liking.
