I’ve been thinking of the name Alyxander [name_u]Arlo[/name_u], nn: [name_f]Alyx[/name_f]. I love it, Y and all. I know a lot of people dislike the “Y in the place of I or E” trend, but I feel like the name could get away with it.
I love it. I have to admit, I think I like [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] more, but then again I’m not huge on unique spellings of names in general. I don’t think it’s too crazy to pull off, and if you like it, then stick with it. You are right in saying that it works better for this name than some others.
I love the name [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and it goes nicely with [name_u]Arlo[/name_u]. Personally I prefer traditional spellings but the flow sounds nice together.
Well, as a french, I have a hard time to see [name_u]Alix[/name_u] and [name_m]Alixander[/name_m] with the letter Y It looks made-up, too much (YX) and not classy in my opinion. Sorry!
([name_u]Alix[/name_u] is a unisex name, I love it for a boy!)
I think [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] is nice, but I dislike spelling [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] with a “y”. I would find it very annoying to have a common name with an uncommon spelling. Correcting people would get very old. So I wouldn’t do that to my child.
Definitely like [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] more, but I think [name_m]Alyxander[/name_m] is okay. [name_f]Alyx[/name_f] is way more girl than boy to me though…but if you like if that way then it shouldn’t be a problem.
