My husband and I are due with a little girl in [name_f]February[/name_f] and we recently decided on a name. We’d love to hear some real name experts thoughts on it! We are excited to use it, but we are interested in what others think, so feel free to be open, it won’t hurt our feelings. It’s nice to see honest reactions as everyone has a different taste in names.

I love [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f]! While it’s a too little popular for me to use it, it’s a beautiful, classic name. I do prefer the name and spelling [name_f]Madeline[/name_f], rhyming with spine (think the children’s book). But [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] is also beautiful.
[name_u]Chase[/name_u] is probably not what I would go with, as it’s usually a boy’s name. But if it holds some sort of significance to you, such as being your maiden name, I would go for it.

I like [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f], it’s grown on me a lot recently. Much prefer [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] or [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] (and [name_f]Madelief[/name_f] and Madelieve!) but I do have a prejudice against -lyn names so that’s not surprising. [name_u]Chase[/name_u] isn’t my style - I don’t tend to do boyish sounding names for girls - but [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] [name_u]Chase[/name_u] flows well and sounds nice. So, I approve 
[name_u]Truly[/name_u] a classic and beautiful name!!!
My only hesitations would be the growing popularity and the nn [name_f]Maddy[/name_f]; however, that is just my opinion.
I am not a fan of names with an unnecessary y, I think [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] is a fine spelling for this name. I do agree that it’s a bit popular at this time for my taste but it is popular for a reason, it’s a beautiful name.
[name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] [name_u]Chase[/name_u] is actually just the type of name I would usually avoid, but I think the pair makes both names sound super sweet! I myself have no real problem with [name_f]Maddie[/name_f]; it’s just a bit popular right now. [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f], like [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], is gaining popularity but isn’t much too popular outside of Nameberry. [name_u]Chase[/name_u] is a cool, unexpected choice after [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f]-- I probably would’ve expected a flower name or a trendier name. However [name_u]Chase[/name_u] pairs perfectly. You did a great job!

[name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] and its variant spellings are very popular, but I think deservedly so. It’s a lovely name. However, I strongly prefer the spellings [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] and [name_f]Madeline[/name_f].
I like the name! Much prefer the spelling [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] though.
