I am wondering what you guys think of [name_f]Lora[/name_f]. [name_f]Lora[/name_f] is a variant of [name_f]Laura[/name_f] I have read. I rather like [name_f]Lora[/name_f] as it is different from the usual spelling. What do you think of [name_f]Lora[/name_f]? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like it? What kind of middle name would you pair with it? Would it be easily spelled?
I think [name_f]Lora[/name_f] would be mistaken for [name_f]Laura[/name_f] when said aloud, but it wouldn’t be too difficult to correct teachers/classmates/co-workers etc. [name_f]Lora[/name_f] isn’t for me, personally, but it is easy enough to spell, and spelling makes clear the pronunciation. Since it is a shorter name, I would pair it with something a little longer, like [name_f]Lora[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Lora[/name_f] [name_f]Jessamine[/name_f], or [name_f]Lora[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f].
[name_f]Lora[/name_f] and [name_f]Laura[/name_f] are the same to my ear. Both seem a little dated but are nice over all. I prefer [name_f]Elora[/name_f], [name_f]Eliora[/name_f] or [name_f]Lara[/name_f].
I dislike the spelling but love the sound of [name_f]Lora[/name_f] ([name_f]Laura[/name_f]). To be honest, I would find it odd to meet a [name_f]Lora[/name_f] and want to know the story (i.e. honour name, etc.)
I like [name_f]Elora[/name_f] and [name_f]Lara[/name_f] as alternatives, as suggested by other posters.
