Thoughts?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] Berries

I am wondering what you guys think of [name_f]Lora[/name_f]. [name_f]Lora[/name_f] is a variant of [name_f]Laura[/name_f] I have read. I rather like [name_f]Lora[/name_f] as it is different from the usual spelling. What do you think of [name_f]Lora[/name_f]? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like it? What kind of middle name would you pair with it? Would it be easily spelled?

Thanks in advance.

What about [name_f]Elora[/name_f]?

I think [name_f]Lora[/name_f] would be mistaken for [name_f]Laura[/name_f] when said aloud, but it wouldn’t be too difficult to correct teachers/classmates/co-workers etc. [name_f]Lora[/name_f] isn’t for me, personally, but it is easy enough to spell, and spelling makes clear the pronunciation. Since it is a shorter name, I would pair it with something a little longer, like [name_f]Lora[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Lora[/name_f] [name_f]Jessamine[/name_f], or [name_f]Lora[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f].

What about [name_f]Lara[/name_f]?

I prefer the classic spelling of [name_f]Laura[/name_f]. Many different kinds of middle names go well so it is hard to know where to start.

[name_f]Lora[/name_f]/[name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_f]Madeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Lora[/name_f]/[name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Lora[/name_f]/[name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]
[name_f]Lora[/name_f]/[name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
[name_f]Lora[/name_f]/[name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Lora[/name_f]/[name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_f]Miriam[/name_f]
[name_f]Lora[/name_f]/[name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]

I dislike [name_f]Lora[/name_f] but I also dislike [name_f]Laura[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Lorna[/name_f] though. And [name_f]Lara[/name_f].

[name_f]Lora[/name_f] and [name_f]Laura[/name_f] are the same to my ear. Both seem a little dated but are nice over all. I prefer [name_f]Elora[/name_f], [name_f]Eliora[/name_f] or [name_f]Lara[/name_f].

I dislike the spelling but love the sound of [name_f]Lora[/name_f] ([name_f]Laura[/name_f]). To be honest, I would find it odd to meet a [name_f]Lora[/name_f] and want to know the story (i.e. honour name, etc.)

I like [name_f]Elora[/name_f] and [name_f]Lara[/name_f] as alternatives, as suggested by other posters.
