[name_m]Just[/name_m] thoughts on Avelyn/Avalyn av as in Avenue
Av-ah-lyn
I think I prefer [name_u]Aven[/name_u], but that’s more like the AV in [name_f]Ava[/name_f]. I don’t really like [name_f]Avelyn[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Avelyn[/name_f] is nice! Very sweet sounding. I do prefer the similar [name_f]Aveline[/name_f], though.
[name_f]Avalyn[/name_f] I would assume was pronounced like [name_f]Ava[/name_f] + [name_u]Lyn[/name_u], so ayva-lin rather than av-uh-lin.
It’s pretty cool! You (and your little one) might have to explain and correct people on the pronunciation pretty often.
Once had a dream where I named my daughter [name_f]Avalyn[/name_f] and it’s grown on me since It’s fresh and pretty
it’s pretty, but i would much prefer avalon
[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.
It’s honestly not my cup of tea. In my neck of the woods (Midwest U.S.), basically every little girl is named [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] or [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f]. This is just a smoosh of those two names, & seems a bit made up. [name_f]Avalon[/name_f] looks more legit & get the same idea. What do you think of [name_f]Aviva[/name_f]? I love [name_f]Aviva[/name_f]!
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.
