[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_f]Faith[/name_f] and [name_f]Mae[/name_f] are close names? That [name_f]Mae[/name_f] could be honoured thru [name_f]Faith[/name_f]? Is it too much of a stretch?
Only thought it because the beginning of [name_f]Faith[/name_f] being [name_f]Faye[/name_f] and it rhymes with [name_f]Mae[/name_f]. Thoughts?

To me they feel like completely unrelated names. If [name_f]Faith[/name_f] reminds you of [name_f]Mae[/name_f], I suppose that’s what matters most. But in general I don’t think anyone will make the connection.

I don’t really see it, unfortunately! I think [name_f]Faye[/name_f] / [name_f]Fay[/name_f] / [name_f]Fae[/name_f] could absolutely work as an honour name for [name_f]Mae[/name_f], but [name_f]Faith[/name_f] is a bit too stretchy for me.
They seem unrelated to me, but I could see it when you explained. I just think it’s too far of a stretch, sorry.

I do not see the similarities between Faith + Mae they are completely unrelated names and I do not see the honour connection. I think Mercy could work as a honour for Mae whilst being connected to Faith or Freida could work as a better honour for Faith.
Doesn’t quite make sense to me, I’m afraid. If the name you wanted to honour was Faye/Fay/Fae, then [name_f]Mae[/name_f] would work in my head, but [name_f]Faith[/name_f] feels and sounds quite different?
If it’s enough for you though, that’s the main thing - a subtle nod through sound.

I was only exploring different names and am very happy with the honours I have chosen in my top names. [name_f]Faith[/name_f] is beautiful - same as [name_f]Faye[/name_f], whereas [name_f]Mae[/name_f] has always seemed abit lacking to me - so I was seeing if [name_f]Faith[/name_f] being already a really liked name could do the job, but honestly no worries it doesnt, I dont at this time see it as a realistic idea besides exploring. But, just was exploring and would add Faith/Faye to my longer list rather than a top name. Thank you 
I don’t think of them as similar names as in ‘matchy’ but I do think they fall under similar categories in my mind, like I might recommend one to someone who likes the other! And I love them both!
