I am the mother of three girls. After my cancer diagnosis, my ovaries stopped working for about 6 years. My hopes of trying for a boy diminished. Doctors told me it may never happen and I gave up. [name_m]Long[/name_m] story short, I discovered I was pregnant a few months ago and guess what??? I am having a boy! It’s truly a miracle and we are thrilled!
I have three daughters: [name_f]Lauren[/name_f], [name_f]Ava[/name_f] and [name_f]Ally[/name_f] ([name_u]Allison[/name_u]). I always felt I would use my maiden name [name_m]Levi[/name_m] for my son but, now that I am expecting I am not so sure. I am not sure if I want to use [name_m]Levi[/name_m] for a first or middle name or at all.
I need help! I am feeling more pressure naming my son than I did my daughters. Their names came to me so easily. I want a name that is not only a good boys name but a great man’s name too… if that makes sense?
Our last name is technically a first name, [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]. So I kinda even like the idea of using a last name for a first.
Anyone have ideas for boy names that go well with the last name [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]? Open to any suggestions!
Because [name_m]Levi[/name_m] is meaningful to you but you are having doubts, maybe use it in the middle spot? Some surname style strong names…
[name_u]Easton[/name_u]
[name_m]Clark[/name_m]
[name_m]Hayes[/name_m] (although maybe not b/c of same ending as [name_m]Thomas[/name_m])
[name_m]Turner[/name_m]
[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m]
[name_m]Bennett[/name_m]
[name_m]Gable[/name_m]
[name_u]Gardner[/name_u]
Congrats! That’s wonderful. I like [name_m]Levi[/name_m] too, at least as a middle. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any other names on your radar? Some more ideas:
With [name_m]Levi[/name_m] or another L name you’d have two L’s and two A’s. [name_m]Just[/name_m] a thought. I would definitely avoid a third A name, and maybe another -n ending name.
Firstly Congratulations. Secondly I really like [name_m]Levi[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], however if you are not sure how about:
[name_m]Liev[/name_m] (means heart) and has a subtle link to levi ([name_m]Levi[/name_m] could always be a nn for liev)
[name_m]Benedict[/name_m] (blessed)
[name_m]Steven[/name_m] (I’m pretty sure I’ve known a [name_m]Steven[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] so that might be why it sounds good to my ears)
[name_m]Jackson[/name_m]
[name_m]Angus[/name_m]
[name_m]Ralph[/name_m]
My favourite would be [name_m]Liev[/name_m] with [name_m]Ralph[/name_m] a close second
I really love [name_m]Levi[/name_m]! It goes well with your surname, and I like that using it would give you 2 names starting with an “A” and 2 names starting with a “L.” Bonus is that it’s your maiden name!
I thought [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] before I read that you are interested in a last name first. [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] [name_m]Levi[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m].
[name_f]Lauren[/name_f], [name_f]Ava[/name_f], [name_f]Ally[/name_f], and
[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] and [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] were the first two names to come to mind. I love [name_m]Levi[/name_m] as the middle name for either of them.
