Three weeks until due date, still no name!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! It’s my first time posting on the forum, and I’m desperate. I’m due in 3 weeks and my husband and I just cannot agree on a name to save our lives! I’m hoping y’all can help me rest easy for a few weeks knowing this baby has a name  she will be joining a sister, [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] (goes by [name_f]Gracie[/name_f]). Our last name is pronounced like Patrón tequila. Here are the names we’ve considered, but new ideas are welcome!

[name_u]June[/name_u] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] – husband loooves the name [name_u]June[/name_u] but I just haven’t loved it so much, and [name_f]Paige[/name_f] is my grandfather’s middle name.

[name_f]Kate[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] – I like [name_f]Kate[/name_f] but I don’t know if it’s cheesy to have a [name_f]Katie[/name_f] and [name_f]Gracie[/name_f].

[name_f]Nora[/name_f]/[name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] – the name [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is growing on me!!

Other names we tossed around:
[name_f]Mia[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Catherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Jillian[/name_f] (husband hates)

Thanks for the help!!

I like [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]

I like [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]!

My favorites are

  1. [name_f]Mia[/name_f] (too popular for most berries, but this is an old favorite)

  2. [name_f]Nora[/name_f] Really spunky and sweet

  3. [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] w/nn [name_f]Kate[/name_f] I really dislike [name_f]Kate[/name_f] on it’s own. I think having a formal name is nice. Doesn’t have to be [name_f]Katie[/name_f] unless you want it to.

Good [name_m]Luck[/name_m]!

[name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] sounds like [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_m]Jones[/name_m]… So i like [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]

I like [name_f]Kate[/name_f], but it doesn’t flow with [name_f]Paige[/name_f]. I think it should be [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] or [name_f]Katerina[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] with the nickname [name_f]Kate[/name_f].

[name_f]Nora[/name_f] is such a great choice. [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] is my favorite, though [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] would be cute too.
I like [name_u]June[/name_u], and I don’t think [name_f]Katie[/name_f] would be cheesey at all. [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] is a really lovely choice, and I have no problem with the nn [name_f]Katie[/name_f] for [name_f]Catherine[/name_f].

[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] is really cute.
[name_f]Kate[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] is cute too. You can always name her [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]/[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] and call her [name_f]Kate[/name_f] (if you need/want a full name). I don’t think its an issue at all to have a [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] and a [name_f]Katie[/name_f].

I like [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and I really think if you want the baby to be a [name_f]Kate[/name_f] you should make the full name [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]. I don’t know if it’s just some weird thing I have but I hate when people put nickname names on the birth certificate.

Thanks for the input y’all! Keep it coming

I vote for [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] or [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]. [name_m]Both[/name_m] are super cute, though I slightly prefer [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]. [name_f]Kate[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] doesn’t have great flow (1-1 syllable count), so I would go with [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] or another “full name” for [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. She doesn’t have to be [name_f]Katie[/name_f]; I agree that [name_f]Katie[/name_f] & [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] is a little matchy. [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] sounds much better. [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] is cute too. [name_u]June[/name_u] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] also doesn’t have great flow because they are both 1 syllable. Also, I feel like it sounds weird because both of these names are also nouns. [name_u]June[/name_u] isn’t my favorite name; I would keep it in the middle. Some suggestions you might like:
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]
[name_f]Lily[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelie[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f]

[name_u]June[/name_u] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] – you don’t like this name but your husband does. [name_u]June[/name_u] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] is abrupt so have you considered the Biblical name of [name_f]Junia[/name_f]? [name_f]Junia[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] flows much better.

[name_f]Kate[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] – two one-syllable names with the same “ay” sound isn’t good and [name_f]Katie[/name_f] and [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] are too similar.

[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] – this is pretty if a little short together.

Other names we tossed around:

[name_f]Mia[/name_f] - popular but [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] sounds ok. The downside is that [name_f]Mia[/name_f] is very popular.
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] - Elegant and goes well with [name_f]Paige[/name_f]
[name_f]Catherine[/name_f] - [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] is lovely but then we’re back to [name_f]Katie[/name_f] and [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] again. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like other nn’s like [name_f]Kitty[/name_f], [name_u]Kit[/name_u], or [name_u]Kay[/name_u] for [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]?
[name_f]Jillian[/name_f] - should be eliminated if your husband hates it.

Other Suggestions

[name_u]Allison[/name_u] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]
[name_f]Celeste[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]
[name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]
[name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]

I absolutely love the name [name_f]Nora[/name_f]! Although [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] is lovely I don’t think it is perfect.
I’ll suggest [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Maeby[/name_f] as I think that that is divine!

Would [name_f]Juno[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] work? [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Juno[/name_f]. [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] and [name_f]Junie[/name_f].

I do like [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] as wel…

Yeah, [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]! [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] is nice too. [name_f]Kate[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] and [name_u]June[/name_u] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] are too short and choppy. [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is also a nice option.
I’d go with [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] because [name_u]June[/name_u] isn’t a filler middle name.

I really like [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]; it goes so well with [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]. They’re both down to earth, humble names, first and middle, but your daughters definitely can hook their personalities around them!

[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] & [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u],
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] & [name_f]Gracie[/name_f].

I love [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]! I also love [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] from your list.

[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f] is my favorite - it flows much nicer than [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]. I also really like [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]!

[name_f]Nora[/name_f] & [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] would be such a sweet pair  I vote for [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]! It’s a pretty name with a smart sound, and not all that common.

Would you consider [name_f]Paige[/name_f] as a first name?

[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] sounds perfect with [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u].
I also love:

  • [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Eleanore[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] (sisters: [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] and [name_f]Ellie[/name_f])
  • [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]
If your husband hates [name_f]Jillian[/name_f] and you don’t love [name_u]June[/name_u], I wouldn’t suggest using them as first names.
    Good luck!
