[name]Rory[/name] and [name]Ruby[/name]?
[name]Way[/name] too close.
Yes, it would be way to confusing.
It’s extremely matchy, so I have to say yes.
Sadly, yes.
Yes too matchy for me
although if [name]Rory[/name] is a girl you could go [name]Aurora[/name] & [name]Ruby[/name]
Definitely way too close.
I’m going to be in a minority here and say no. They start with the same latter, and what? [name]Rory[/name] has that roar at the start while [name]Ruby[/name] is Roo, therefore the starts are completely different, they have two letters in common - [name]Millie[/name] and [name]Ellie[/name] have more and those are mine and my sister’s names. I dislike [name]Rory[/name] a lot for a girl, if I heard [name]Rory[/name] and [name]Ruby[/name] I’d think boy and girl, not girl and girl, but as for them being too close: not in my book.
Yes, too close. Two two-syllable names that start in R and end in y? My tongue would get tripped up introducing them to people. I also hate [name]Rory[/name] on a girl as a full name. Twins are already going to be compared to each other in so many ways, you don’t need to giving them matching names too.
If they’re b/b, they both start with R, end in an “ee” sound, have 2 syllables, and the emphasis on the same syllable. That’s way too close.
If they’re g/g, same problem and the boyish [name]Rory[/name] and lush, feminine [name]Ruby[/name] are sexually dissonant.
This is why I think they’re too close.
[name]WAY[/name] too close for me! BUT I do have nieces, not twins, named [name]Nora[/name] and [name]Nina[/name]. So I say as long you plan on only having 2 kids, it’s fine, but it’s definitely not something I would do.
Cute names! But could be a tongue twister to say together
Yes, sorry!
They’re fine to me. Similar but different enough
I absolutely agree with you.
To be quite frank, I don’t see how one can get tangled up in the two names (but that might just be me and my Danish accent). I mean, they’re pronounced differently and the only things similar (which is what I think people have against this twin-combination) are the first and last letters.
