To much for real life?

Really like the name [name_u]Willoughby[/name_u] for our fourth child. But wondering if it’s a bit to much for real life and more of a guilty pleasure or if this is a wearable name for a boy?

Nn would be will or willo obviously but we would use his full name for school and such.

Thanks!

I think it can work. It has no more syllables than [name_m]William[/name_m] and has a similar rhythm to names like [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] or [name_m]Gregory[/name_m] which are being used. I’ve also met a [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] and a [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] which give me a similar vibe and they wore them fine so i think it could work.
[name_m]Will[/name_m] gives him a very familiar nn too

I agree with greyblue. While it is an unusual name, it sounds familiar and not out of place

I think it’s nice but I have met 2 baby girls with the name.

I’ve met a baby (boy) [name_u]Willoughby[/name_u]! His brother is [name_m]Bertram[/name_m] “[name_u]Bertie[/name_u]”. It is a big name but a handsome one for sure, and it shortens neatly to the very ordinary, and lovely, [name_m]Will[/name_m].

[name_u]Willoughby[/name_u] is adorable! It’s very friendly sounding and easily wearable.

I am also a fan
[name_u]Unique[/name_u], vintage but still familiar.
I’m curious what your other children’s names are?
