To much rhyme?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m]

I am looking for feedback on this name combination please. I really like both names but not sure if they work together.

The name combination is [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f].

The rhyme is the [name_f]Lu[/name_f] in [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and the [name_u]Lou[/name_u] in [name_f]Louise[/name_f]. It would be the first and middle name combination.

So what do you all think? Please be brutally honest as I don’t want to make a mistake when renaming myself.

Thanks.

I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] works quite nicely together.

My only thought is the similarity to actress [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] Liu, which is not a bad thing, but worth being aware of

Brutally honest: I think it flows nice, but it’s a little strange combination. Like a cartoon character. But it’s also cute

^I agree with the cartoon thing (reminds me of [name_f]Toni[/name_f] [name_f]Topaz[/name_f], [name_m]Archie[/name_m] Andrews, etc from the comics/Riverdale), but I think it’s so cute it kinda works. Plus it’s not like it’s her first and last name rhyming…because that might be a little over the top for real life. It’s sweet! And [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] is a cute nickname if you ever wanted to go that route.

I think it’s a little much unless there’s an awesome reason to use [name_f]Louise[/name_f] along with [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. Like if it was your beloved grandmother’s name or something. But I do love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]!

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is a bit odd, to me, as they both bring you to “[name_u]Lou[/name_u]”. It kind of feels as though you couldn’t decide which you liked better, so you just used both.

I don’t think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is too rhymey. What makes a lot of good combos work so well is the assonance.

[name_f]Louise[/name_f] is one of my all time favourite names, and I adore the name [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] as well. So that I can use both often and use more names from my list, my plan has been to one day name a daughter [name_f]Louise[/name_f]/[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] with the nickname Lusie.

I think it’s fine!
Nothing wrong with alliteration. It has charm.

Thanks to all who have posted so far.

I am glad to know that some people like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f].

Does anyone else have an opinion?

To me, it isn’t the double -oo- sound, but the alliteration. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] has simply to many L’s for my taste (and I’m a big fan of names with L!)

It does sound like a cartoon character or a superhero, and I love it for that reason! So cute.

I think the nickname [name_u]Lou[/name_u] [name_u]Lou[/name_u] would be adorable!

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] sounds like a cartoon character’s name, [name_f]IMO[/name_f].

I think if it was [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Lou[/name_u] as your first and last name it would be a bit too rhyme-y, but [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] _____ is perfectly fine! If both names have meaning for you, why not use them?
